It happens, man. You got to have a strong side hustle to keep your motivation going. Trust me you will starting feeling like nobody wants me and you have all the skills that call the job.etc, etc, but just keep going.
Not sure if you've answered this already, so sorry for asking if you did. Have you tried an unpaid internship? I studied Public Relations/Corporate Communications and I got my foot in the door by interning...just to get professional experience in the field and to build networks within the industry. Also, if you're a good writer, a lot of PR firms (mine for example) use freelance writers...the standard rate is $1 per word....so it's a great way to get paid while building contacts and building up your portfolio.
Those insurance companies will pretty much hire anyone. They will scour resume's put them in a database and hit you up making it seem like they are only searching for a select few.
Everyone who hates their job, hit me up on the pm.
job searching is rough breh. my advice if your having trouble is if you can work with your hands buy a fluke punchdown tool/shears/ klien cutters. watch youtube vids on how to punchdown rj45 panels and 568a and 568b terminations on cat5e and cat6e cable. learn the color codes and master that shyt(not hard just takes practice). ask a random telecom or verizon dude for 10ft of cat5 wire scrap.) practice till you nice or atleast get it and job search cat5, structured cabling or cabling technician. if your hard worker with a little hustle you can always atleast get entry level contract work(sometimes its 1099) for 3-6 months or more if you show hustle. with that first experience in tow you should always be able to find somethin to pay the bills breh. entry level usually in the south usually will pay u 15hr and up north like 18-20hr.....once you get nice and learn how to pull cable and terminate effectively and get a few contracts or a job on ya resume you can easily command $25-$30 a hour. if you learn how to work with fiber or get your corning cert your good for life. ive been in the struggle b4 and i remember them days hope this helps if not you someone on here. IT and Data installation company's always have jobs open.Had an interview last week and I was told I got this job with a paralegal...and I was supposed to start today. Yet today, I have received no input via phone or internet from them.
Sorry for making a thread like this but I am so mad I could literally just break everything in my bedroom right now. It seems my roommates have no problems finding jobs with honest employers that won't jerk them, but everytime I find a job where I think it might be profitable/fruitful it just ends up being a) a scam (worked for a security company that promised work placement but only took $400 from me for three useless certifications, worked for a timeshare company answering phones and only made $240 total in comision) b) complete BS (I worked for a "marketing company" selling escos door to door only to get jerked by my bosses and had to fight it out with them just to get $220).
I've searched damn near everywhere for a job and no one wants to hire me. fukk! I hate this sh!t.
to add onIndeed is the best job search site. They filter out most of the bullshyt listings.

I'm looking for anything now. ANYTHING. I've been unemployed since August and it sucks. It doesn't even matter what that job as long as it pays. I'll work at a damn restaurant washing dishes in the back or be a janitor as long as I can make some bread and take care of business between finding another job. I'm just sick and tired and bored of having nothing to do during the day. It makes me feel sluggish and lazy.
Yo, I even applied to Little Caesar's pizza and I haven't received any feedback from them. Imagine that..
