I feel you breh, I have a job but I'm looking for an opportunity to move up in the world, figured a degree would help me, I finished the last classes to complete my degree last month so sense then I been sending my updated resume EVERYWHERE, not with expectations that the degree would catch someones attentions but I was atleast hoping to get more replies than I have, out of the hundreds of places I've sent my resume only 3 places have called back, out of those 3 I've only been able to get an interview with one and that ended up not even being the job I wanted

What's your degree in?

And what makes you think I'm refusing to take people's advice in this thread? Did you see how many times I've said in this "thanks for the advice...I appreciate it!" and yet...to posters like you that stil equates to "refusing to take people's advice" and "making excuse". I swear, some of you just have selective reading, poor reading comprehension skills, or just an outright refusal to read my words just to make slick comments.

I've said plenty of constructive things and offered as many ideas as I could muster with what you told me about your situation.

In one thread you're looking at jobs on Craigslist in this one you're applying for shytty positions out of desperation. If you keep applying to things out of desperation, you WILL be back here in a month saying how badly you hate looking for a job. You have a weak degree in a weak econony you WILL have to think outside of the box or pray you land something where they only care if you have a degree and not what the major is.

You need to start networking with your college or colleges that offer your major and alumni of that major. If not you're looking at unpaid internships or shyt jobs with high turn around.

Do you have any retail/sales experience? Microsoft and Samsung are expanding into best buy stores and pay a minimum of $15.

I've done sales before. I really don't have any experience in retail other than knowing how to work a register.
