The H
I fw Daz and he’s a legend for sure but most people haven’t heard these Daz songs.

And no Daz is not better than Dre. He’s behind Battlecat and Quik too
He wasted a lot of beats on himself for a spell
There was a time he was dropping albums back to back that nobody cared for
Around the time he relocated to Mississippi or something

One of my all time favorite Daz beats but most people don't know he's the producer behind it. While theres effects put on his vocals to make him not so easily identified that is indeed Daz saying "we funk g-funk" throughout the song. Produced under the pseudonym Young Jedi as Suge wasn't clearing anything for Def Jam due to a still unknown hatred for Russell Simmons, even Reggie said he doesn't know the real origins of Suge hating Russel but that he despised him as much as he did Puff. But yeah Daz in my top 5 for sure.

Gonna guess this is due to Regulate.

Above the fray.

If this song was Dove Shack, its after Warren G signed with Def Jam and Russell/Lyor swaggerjacked the DeathRow sound, and capitalized off their wave.

Despite Suge's threats, Warren G signed to Def Jam, his breakout single Regulate appeared on his debut album after it was a single for (Deathrow released) Above the Rim, and Warren put out other acts on Def Jam.

Surely I dont have to mention the most obvious stuff.
Nah you dont...I just wanted to point out that no matter what era you pick or what songs you select you'll inevitably find that that eras sound is directly linked to a handful of other producers. Like the tracks you picked only 1 of them Dre is the primary producer and one of them, the biggest one in fact, he didn't even produce at all. And ppl can call cap all they want but the paperwork and demos dont lie, that's tangible proof of what pretty much everybody that's ever worked with Dre and even himself has admitted publicly several times over - Dre dont touch a beat til its about 85% done.

Dre is top 2 mix engineer in hip hop and I would never try to take that from him but ppl need to get honest about how much of the workload other producers were taking. A big component of Daz winning the 100 mil judgement was his ability to prove what work he actually did (even though the past few years hes been more reluctant to speak on his uncredited work) and Daz was smart to see it all the way through instead of taking the pennies payouts most producers who have lodged thievery allegations Dres way accepted.
