Not according to the ratings. Y’all nerd ball lovers can project all y’all want but it is what it isyou shouldn't care who shoots threes as long as they go in, and what we know now is there's a lot of shooters who can make threes at a respectable clip with his volume, yet you don't want them taking threes. That's what makes what you're saying weird. Steph is the greatest three point shooter ever, but he's not the only good three point shooter, and part of that is because teams need to keep up with other teams with firepower. You're not gonna beat the Celtics just posting up and shooting middys, so yeah, when players come in, you wanna see if they can keep up from outside and now more than ever we have capable shooters. The days of maybe 1-2 capable guys per team are over, so now more players will be authorized, some more than others. That bothers so many of y'all.
You can be as entertaining as you want, but if your entertaining brand of basketball leads you to be 30-52, you're not gonna be employed much longer. Nothing's more entertaining than your team winning.

My main point of contention was what I want to SEE. I'm not tuning in weekly to watch Boston shoot 50 3s. That's not a draw to me. Ant might be shooting great from deep but that's not what I TUNE in for.you shouldn't care who shoots threes as long as they go in, and what we know now is there's a lot of shooters who can make threes at a respectable clip with his volume, yet you don't want them taking threes. people who don't even have cable concerned about ratings. Same people who'll tell you they can't get into a basketball game on a Wednesday night because it's football season, whatever that means. Same people bytching about the gameplay will watch it as a family just cuz it'll be on NBC/Peacock next season. You will tolerate Ben Simmons shooting 15 threes a night as long as you hear Roundball Rock before commercials. The money they generate and the fact that the league isn't getting canceled anytime soon should cause you to not worry so much about that, and if I took your stance on this, well then you get to watch less nerd ball. Who loses? Not you, so don't worry about it.Not according to the ratings. Y’all nerd ball lovers can project all y’all want but it is what it is
Then don't. If you're a Celtics fan though it's hard to complain about the formula for success. Your baseline for enjoyment should be a good game where your team hopefully wins. You don't need to sit through an entire game to watch fire ass highlights. That's why they're highlights and those clips will be in your social media feed before the next stoppage of play. The stuff you wanna see hasn't gone away. It's easier to access now, from just a clip to a straight up condensed game.My main point of contention was what I want to SEE. The game has been trending towards this and it's fine but it's not something I want to SEE.
Baseline for enjoyment doesn't have to be wins. Where is this logic coming from? You all or nothing stat guys don't know what people really want. Then don't. The baseline for enjoyment is a good game (which is what I said first). Some games don't have a crazy dunk in it. Some games don't have an ankle being broken. Many more don't have someone going off for 40 or 50 or a triple double. It's fun when it happens, but it's not an expectation either. All I can ask is for a good gameBaseline for enjoyment doesn't have to be wins. Where is this logic coming from? You all or nothing stat guys don't know what people really want.
Feel free to continue to argue tho, bro. You're winning there.
the olympics brings out the positivity in folksI don't know what the nba is missing cause those Olympic games was lit af and curry shot hella 3s at the end.
Espn coverage and promo of nba has been absolute trash
Me neither breh, I want to see NBA players showcase all of their talent in a competitive game that’s played at the highest level and not just jack 3s.My main point of contention was what I want to SEE. The league generating money has nothing to do with how trash the actual gameplay has become. The problem is the players don’t have competitive spirit anymore, they put the money and personal branding above the on the court basketball.people who don't even have cable concerned about ratings.
