You do realize that Eminem has no real accolade? he doesn't have a single critically acclaimed album, and mostly billboard and mtv awards lol

Kendrick is by far the most acclaimed and decorated rapper all things considered. And if you're talking about Grammy, Jay has 25, Kanye 24, Kendrick 22 (despite being much younger), Eminem 15.

After Kendrick, it's probably Outkast and Kanye West.

“A rapper doesn’t have an MTV award”

I would pay for your haircut to hear this argument in a barbershop. Holy shyt

What is your definition of critically acclaimed? Because his earlier albums most definitely got strong reviews. He won the best rap album Grammy more times than anyone else. And is easily the highest selling rapper ever.

None of that mean anything to me far as where I'm ranking him myself, but yall obsessed with these "objective" measures which actually not objective at all.

Nah...he never had great reviews. You can check by yourself, he doesn't have a single album with critical acclaim (in comparison, all of kendrick albums have earned universal acclaim status, meaning they all have higher score than 81/100 on metacritic, with 2 of them being the 2 highest rated rap albums by critics ever - Tpab has 96/100 and DAMN 95/100, in comparison Em's best albums average scores are in the 70/100). The fact that Eminem albums got panned by critics was actually a discussion among Em fans, they were saying the critics were against him.

As for his grammy awards, thats cool, I agree that 15 grammy is a lot...but...

If we take off PAC and Big who were lost too soon…

Who is added?

With Jay, Nas, and Kenny you need a least 3 classics

Once again…I’m still having a hard time talking about rappers and accolades being an arguing point
I was responding to someone saying Eminem was very commercially successful (I agree) and one of if not the most decorated rapper as far as industry accolades (strongly disagree)

I'm still struggling to see why and how Tupac and Biggie are top 5 still.

Kendrick, per actual hip-hop lovers, has 3 back-to-back-to-back masterpieces, the GOAT diss, and doesn’t really have a flaw in his game besides features.

Where the hell is Ice Cube in this (one of the pioneers in gangsta rap, which has roots all throughout the music landscape, best artist on a legendary group, 3 classics in a row, countless hits, longevity, etc.)?
Kbot isn't even better than the game :heh:
