Sounds like a scam. I live in Japan. You can learn to read just by seeing the same signs everyday. For instance you see a stop sign とまれ. You know it means stop so you got 3 letters memorized right there. So you mean to tell me she doesn’t know stop, sign, yield or the dozens of other street signs she’d see day to day. Never mind other basic vocabulary.

Now if she’s actually super disabled that’s another problem but them how would she be smart enough to memorize essays and shyt?
