That Neon Genesis Evangelion shyt (the movie after the anime) got me disturbed and disgusted. Plus I heard that the author had initially made it because the fans thought the first ending to the series was too sweet. Mangaka said aight bet


There's something very disturbing and fascinating to the idea of humanity just straight up ending gruesomely, especially when it's by the end of other creatures. I think it makes us feel like defenseless animals again.
