This deserves its own thread: WWE is now a heel territory and its 100% because of HHH

I don't really watch NXT regularly, but the disparity of talent on that brand disgusts me even more than this babyface/heel problem. But that's a different thread topic.

The other big problem is inconsistent booking. They book these babyfaces to consistently lose to have this huge payoff, and then the writers/Cokeboy get impatient & blow up the entire angle in the middle of the progression which makes the struggling babyface look like a complete loser now that the feud is over before the big payoff. I can name two instances off the top of my head where it's happened: Cody Rhodes vs. The Authority & Dolph Ziggler vs. The Authority.

Rhodes could have really gone a long way if they didn't cut it off so soon. Kofi too

I think that SS 2014 squash was supposed to be for Bryan :jbhmm:

It was. I remember reading it was supposed to "bring DB fans back to reality" or some shyt like that.

This company really loves to self sabotage themselves, and lose income. :dead:

The neckbeards are also to blame for this problem. If the guy comes out of the Indys, the fans automatically love him (see Cesaro). If a guy comes out of WWE Development, they have a hurdle to climb with the fan reactions (see Roman Reigns). Would Cesaro & Roman Reigns be getting the same reactions today if Cesaro came out of developmental & Roman was wrestling in ROH 10 years ago? I don't think so.

Batista had to go through this too. Lucky for Batista, they hid him away on Smackdown during the brand split so he wasn't as shoved down everyone's throat like Cena was.

Wrong.

Tye Dillinger is homegrown talent, and he's over. Naomi, New Day (Kofi and Big E), Bray.

There are others. Quit acting like Roman wasnt getting over as a face. Booking came along and destroyed his chances.

I don't totally buy that because children still love Roman Reigns. Children aren't intelligent enough to know Roman came from developmental and wasn't wrestling in the Indy's for 10+ years. I agree that booking has soured a lot of people on Roman, but there's no doubt in my mind that there is a large group of fans that have an agenda against him because he didn't wrestle on the Indy's for 10+ years

If that's the case, it became more of an issue AFTER the booking. Dude was getting face pops before all that shyt happened.

Sheamus shouldn't have beaten Roman Reigns. I'm sure we all laughed at the fukkery but you can't put an ice cold heel over who you are pushing as your top star. So what if Sheamus had MITB, then you make him fail. His stock had plummeted anyway.

SheaGOAT is one of the best guys the company has, he fully deserved that strap, should win it again soon imo :wow:

That Sheamus injection, with Vince playing a pure heel, actually got Reigns back over, getting him "You Deserve It" chants when he won the belt in Philly. There was nothing wrong with that booking.

Everything went to shyt and stayed there after it when Triple H had to inject himself into things and they booked a horrific Rumble, build and match, to get the belt on him.
