What do you think of this scene here with Avon & Stringer? It’s not too long after the prisoners get killed with the hot shots. D’Angelo doesn’t want anything to do with Avon and won’t try to get his sentenced reduced. Stringer makes the big decision in the next episode.

By the way he was talking at the end of that conversation, I sort of felt like Avon was close to making that decision himself. Like he was justifying it in his mind and wanted reassurance from Stringer.

Thats exactly what Avon was on. Stringer actually took a huge load off his mind by killing D'Angelo

When Stringer confesses to Avon in season 3 Avon had the initial anger, but the reason he didn't dwell on it(or confess to his sister what he knew) is because he knew he agreed with Stringers reasoning

To take it further look at Brianna in season 4. It's clear she hasn't fukked with Avon in years because she knows Avon knows something about D'Angelo that he's not telling her. Why destroy a relationship with his sister unless he knew he agreed with what Stringer did?

Above the fray.
Nah he didn't give Kevin bad advice. Kevin didn't tell him he was the one who set up Lex and also didn't tell him that he got Randy involved in it

I'm pretty sure if Bodie knew everything about that situation he would've told Kevin something different
I stand by what I wrote. It ended up costing Kev because what was going on at the time, but Bodie's way of thinking about operations didn't apply to Marlo's crew. When he decides to flip, he brings the point up.
McNulty gets him out of jail, not Marlo's attorney or bondsmen.

"Everybody knows Bodie is real, never messed up a package or a count, he hangs tough. But when I get locked up, no pay lawyer"

Above the fray.
Just recently realized that in scene between Levy and String, that "he rainmade you" commentary was bullshyt. S3 E11

Levy served Stringer up for Davis to con him.

S 5 E9. Freamon is pressing Davis for info under threat of investigating him.
Davis says this.

At Avon's homecoming party, S3 E5......

Levy is sitting right between Clay and the shiesty developer as they pitch to Avon. Clay is talking about how String's project is taking off and that Avon should get down with it. Levy is cosigning .
Stringer is at the party, but NOT at the table. And Levy is looking around nervously, as if to not be spotted sitting there (I think)*
*Avon seems to sniff out the con.

S5 E10 series finale, once Marlo is free and clear, he is being schmoozed by the same snakes. But notice what Levy says to him.

I must have missed or forgot that Prop Joe was also involved in the human smuggling with the Greeks.

When Sergei brings Nick to Joe to discuss the Ziggy/Cheese issue, Joe tells Sergei “that other thing, I can get behind that business in a big way” and they agree to discuss is later.

They’re unloading prostitutes they smuggled in the season finale montage

Californ-i-a by way of BK
I didn't realize the woman who plays Cutty's ex-girlfriend also plays her sister. They used the same actress for two different characters.

Also the woman Bunk cheats on his wife with in season 1 is also Randy's step mom in season 4. Not sure if she's playing different characters or she's meant to be the same person but interesting nonetheless.

Anything to do with Andre is hardly the darkest scene. Dumbass didn't leave Baltimore even after being thrown a lifeline by Prop Joe cos he didn't know anybody outside the city even though his life was threatened WTF. :mjlol:

One of the darkest scenes for me was Junebug's family getting killed and the aftermath of it with that little kid hiding in the closet.

In fact, the show gets a lot darker when Marlo and his crew take over in season 4.

Andre and his scenes are just kind of funny.

Prop Joe likens him to a broken machine that is better off dumping in the trash instead of fixing and Andre is just like “okay”, not understanding it.

He’s going into his Delta Airline spiel and Chris agrees with him, sort of like he’s trolling him to get his hopes up, because he definitely knows Marlo is not going to cut him a break. Chris looks like he’s enjoying the whole interaction. Then they offer to “help” Andre to get his ring off, and Chris suggests using spit.

As time went on, season 2 was really dope:hubie:

After rewatching it, I like it a lot. I still have it behind the other seasons though (except for S5).

I also thought episode 6 was one of the best of the series
