Family Matters is from an era that no longer exists. A sitcom centered around one character to the point where others don't matter. The same thing happened with Full House. Everybody thought Stephanie was going to be the breakout character and it ended up being Michelle.
You notice how nowadays, most sitcoms are ensembles or duos? They don't want anybody outshining anybody, but in some cases, it still happens (Melissa McCarthy on Mike & Molly, Allison Janney on Mom).
Anyway, I always hated when Urkel would warn Laura about some guy she's dating, and then she would tell him to fukk off because he's lying. Then Laura finds out the guy she's dating really is a piece of shyt like Urkel said and she's like
. Maxine did the same thing and Laura got upset about it, too.
Also, the Christmas episode when Urkel got upset that Carl only entered the decorating contest for the money. Carl has to support an entire family, including the guy he let move into his own house. You better let him enjoy his five grand, Urkel.
