MBDTF will never be better than CD. Not now, not 10 years down the line. Never.

It got more love? it's his most recent album and he is way more popular in music and pop culture, of course it's going to get more love. He has a bigger audience now. This is common sense fam.

The overall music was way better on CD. It was grounded more in reality. He was speaking on some real shyt, not trying to make stadium music. The content was way more serious and real than MBDTF. Fact. Kanye did grow as an artist, but some things he should have never left behind. CD was a masterpiece. The outro alone I would put up against the entire MDBTF. To hear him break down his struggle with getting into the music biz was dope as fukk.

Yeezy is one of my fav. artists at the moment, but you can tell he is forcing a lot of these new records. I wish he would say fukk it and do him. The swag rap shyt gotta go.

I can tell a lot of you nikkas are reactionary fans of music. Yall get hype off the most recent anything. It's sad.
That's your opinion, and CD is still his best selling album, sold like 3 times more than MBDTF even had #1 singles and all that that or LR might've moved more units. MBDTF didn't even have top 10 singles. Commercially his peak was with graduation, but CD was huge. What type of debut album does half a million first week, 50, Snoop, Drake who else?

Kanye is not one of my favorite artists at the moment, he was in 2010 up until WTT though. Which was over a year ago and he's been active ever since. New God flow was dope though. And in my opinion CD is his best album as well, followed by LR/MBDTF. Still doesn't mean it got more love, or deeper lover might be a better description.

And Kanye is him all the time, you nikkas only think he's got one type of role though. He's not who he was 10 years ago (when he recorded CD). He's who he is now, after losing important people his family, after getting mistreated by different people after all he's gone through after it going 15 year since he was in college.

Al I want is creative music, he still has it in him. You heard it on MBDTF and WTT. I feel like the good music album will be a bunch of tired themes all around. Hopefully i'm wrong.

C'mon man. Dude is rapping about his life these days. It's just shyt we can't relate to obviously. I mean if he was still rapping about stealing khakis from the gap nowadays y'all would be like :aicmon:

the songs were of higher quality on CD/LR

lyrically they were superior as well.. just better songs overall.. its not just off hte content.. its the entire finished product..

i wuld put the 5 best songs on CD/LR against ANY 5 songs off Graduation/MBTF/WTT...

I will say one thing though, the ones that people rank the highest will always have the most dedicated critics.
Kobe, Lebron have the most critics in the game, most of them just plain stupid, some just mad haters for whatever reason, some just trolls like Skip Bayless and a small minority just don't like certain type of music.

The coli has very few of the latter, a lot the rest.
I guess I find the concept of a dedicated critic stupid as fukk, maybe cause I couldn't see myself being one besides if it's my absolute favorite artist dropping mediocre material. But not being fan of a dude for 8 years and still always bumping all his music, knowing all his lyrics, what's happening in his life, commenting on it, being fastest to know about it and shyt like that is very a very interesting phenomenon I rarely/never see in real life.

Exactly.

I feel like Kanye does things for the sake of doing them. Critics and stans will label it groundbreaking regardless and he knows it.

IMO, Late Registration is the last album where he organically took a huge leap forward. Everything after seems forced. The albums that came after were all trendy and borrowed elements from whatever was hot at the time. With Graduation, sonically it combined what DJ Toomp and Timbaland were doing back in 2006 (Toomp's stadium anthem production on T.I.'s "What You Know About That" and Tim's work with Nelly/JT). 808's was autotuned , which was huge bsck in 2008. MBDFT takes elements from each of the previous Kanye albums, it just features some of the biggest artists in music.

The most accurate post on this thread :wow:

Be thankful that you few dudes are the only dudes in the world smart enough to notice this. Like the Lebron critics are the only ones smart enough to see how wack he is :skip:

Has Kanye been back on 103rd since the throught the wire video? lol. his sissy ass need to bring Kim Kardashion to Harolds on 103rd while taping the show, like Lamarr took his bytch to Queens. What I will never understand is why his sellout ass ain't did any type of benefit concert or scholarship at Chicago State University in honor of his mom, former professor at CSU. Oh... too busy fukkin with them white hoes. LOL

I just wish that we could Re-Gain the 'Late Registration' Kanye West that we had. He was so much more on Point with his Music and put more thought in what kind of Sound he was Feeding us. Now it's like, when his Songs begin I'm honestly not sure if it's a Kanye Track or a Ross Track or a Khaled Track or a 2 Chainz Track because his Sound is so Multiplied.

If this Cruel Summer is bad I'm just gonna give up on Kanye and GOOD Music.

They had the potential to put out some actual good music with people like Q-Tip, Common, Mos Def, Kid Cudi, Kanye (as a producer), John Legend on a hook or two.

Nah, let's release a full album where the lyrics don't mean shyt and have double the amount of Big Sean and 2Chainz instead.

:snoop:

Is Q-Tip even doing anything on the album?

That's not what I'm talking about.. As a fan I never use that as a measuring stick because it has no impact on my personal listening experience...

I'm talking about the actual content and it's delivery..

He went from

"Even if you in a Benz, you still a n!gga in a coupe"

to

"Last week I was in my other, other Benz"

That's the opposite of growth, that's regression...Now he can dress it up with Spike Jonez artistry, European cotour and ballerinas but it's still what it is...He was never a great emcee.. But dude went from being innovator in his lyrical themes and critical thinking to being a straight up biter...

:ohhh: Profound.
