First and foremost all types of swag, which is the most notable influence it had.
:rudy: so the word "Cray" basically?
All types of duos coming together outta nowhere, mostly for mixtapes.
Like who?
Resurrecting that overfly rap with things people can't pronounce, clothes they can't fit in and cars they never drive.
:deadrose:
releasing albums digitally exclusive, incorporating very unlikely samples from unlikely genres in your music and on.

Trying.

When he didn't give a fukk and just did what he did he was the Kanye we all know and love. He's very forced at the moment, it's almost like he's ran out of ideas so he's looking to others for inspiration to stay relevant. He should step back for a few years, there'd be more than enough buzz for another album if he took a break and returned with fire that will change the face of the genre like his pre- MBDTF albums.

Exactly.

I feel like Kanye does things for the sake of doing them. Critics and stans will label it groundbreaking regardless and he knows it.

IMO, Late Registration is the last album where he organically took a huge leap forward. Everything after seems forced. The albums that came after were all trendy and borrowed elements from whatever was hot at the time. With Graduation, sonically it combined what DJ Toomp and Timbaland were doing back in 2006 (Toomp's stadium anthem production on T.I.'s "What You Know About That" and Tim's work with Nelly/JT). 808's was autotuned , which was huge bsck in 2008. MBDFT takes elements from each of the previous Kanye albums, it just features some of the biggest artists in music.

According to Harry B, WTT was the first collab album between rappers. :laff:

They also just influenced and introduced the word "Clique" to the culture... Before this song with Big Sean dropped I had never heard that term before...

Also Kanye is the first Black man to eat a salad.. nikkas wasn't on that shyt before him....We had a pork rind only diet..

  • Kanye gotta stop fukking with autotune. It just sounds horrible in 2012, especially when he performs that shyt live.
  • Stop letting co-producers/other producers slowly take over your entire albums. Soon, he won't be producing a single beat, just getting "executive" credits.
  • Stop being so secretive with his projects. It gets annoying come album time.
  • Stop obsessing over these ho's, we get it you love em Ye
  • Stop making so many songs about money, power, and all the etceteras.

Not swag, but their swag. The fukk you think I'm talking about?
THere is different types of swag.

Yeah why don't you give us a breakdown of the swag on that album and how it is unique and different from everyone elses?

What exactly has WTT influenced in the hip hop culture?

First and foremost all types of swag, which is the most notable influence it had.
All types of duos coming together outta nowhere, mostly for mixtapes. Resurrecting that overfly rap with things people can't pronounce, clothes they can't fit in and cars they never drive.
Mad rappers and singers becoming super artsy outta nowhere, slang like HAM and Cray, following MBDTF it also further introduced what certain people like to refer to overproduced beats and other extremely progressive production, releasing albums digitally exclusive, incorporating very unlikely samples from unlikely genres in your music and on.

It had a lot of influence on hiphop culture, obviously not as important influence as other albums from the 90s like Illmatic, OB4CL etc, or TM101, BP, Trap Music from the 2000s. But still very big and noticeable.

None of those things are groundbreaking. You're really gonna talk about swag like that was something hip hop has been missing? :mindblown:

I'm not trying to be funny or antagonistic here.. You don't have to answer if you don't want to but I'm being dead serious....
.
Are you Black or from the inner city? How old are you and how long have you been close to hip hop culture?

They didn't influence ANY of the things you are giving them credit for...Not one thing...(Except for the exclusive digital)...That's it...

This post you made almost seems satarical... I feel like you are describing the ablilities of Chuck Norris and not being serious with me..

What does that mean?

What do you say to someone who wants to change the world? Someone who wants to challenge the status quo? A revolutionary who resparks the soul and energy of the people. Some Che shyt stopping the ignorance, killing the enemy. This is what Kanye thinks he does with his music most likely.

All of that though, will leave you with Night Demons, so Kanye turns to alcohol to escape them.
