Chauncey from black street dissing Sisqo on a Kay Slay tape. Also, Sisqo dissing him, R Kelly and Nas on his response. And this was a rap beef lol

Had to stop while I was reading through this to listen to this whole thing. This was entertaining :russ:

Also, was the very first one supposed be Canibus? cause that sounds like something he would do.
Yeah. Canibus one, Wu, DMX, Outkast, Slum, laffy taffy shyt, Cash Money, first Percy Miracles appearance. All on point. :blessed:

We used to get are drink on listening to this as youngins. Still hilarious.

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
Gucci and Game doing like 8 songs together on mixtapes from like 06-09 with songs saying they were both bloods and then Gucci dissed Game without a Game response, which is atypical of Game

In the original song called “Bang” on Jeezy’s first album, he has a line that says “catch me bouncing through the club with my Crip flag”

but for some reason he changed it to “black flag”. On all the streaming services they use the black flag line.

it’s only a couple of videos on YouTube with the crip flag line, the rest of them say black flag.

Didn't Game namedrop that Jeezy had crip affiliations on LAX Files?

Rakim was when he was signed under dr dre did an 18-song album that was never released and rakim originally had 50 cent's beat for Heat
When T.I. was released from the Feds in 2011, he released "I'm Flexin" produced by Big K.R.I.T. This was a huge look for K.R.I.T at the time. This was possibly the biggest artist he's worked with and it was a single. T.I. performed this at the BET Hip Hop Awards that year. Unfortunately, nobody EVER mentions the song.
yeah T.I. did plenty of songs with music videos that didn't appear on albums like that T.I. aaliyah joint called Dope, Pharrell having the better verse to "here ye, hear ye", and "memories back then" with kendrick and bob

nas and Pimp C posthumous collaboration

this game song

back when COD had a lot of rap cross over...I remember there were sound packs where your announcer was Ice T, 50, and Snoop Dogg, eminem doing a COD promo commercials, eminem talking about "ray guns" from COD zombies on "rap god"...rap voiceovers in video games like Game in San Andreas, etc

One of the best threads in Booth history.

Not sure if some of this has already been covered but here's my list. I was born in 92 so most of this isn't going to be 90's centric.

-Soulja Boy beefing with Ice T. Ice T claimed that he killed hip hop and Draco responded to Ice T by clowning him on his Youtube channel. It was such a huge moment that it had every other rapper divided on Soulja Boy's role in rap and the Boondocks even parodied the beef on an episode.

-Lil Wayne almost dying from seizures and being put in ICU back in early 2013. People remember the infamous Emmitt Till bar from that era but forget about that whole tragedy.

-Andre 3000's version of "I Do" leaking on the Internet back in 2010 and sparking rumors about him putting out an album before the song got sent to Jeezy and only had him as a feature.

-Kendrick losing the Grammy for GKMC to Macklemore and Macklemore sending a corny text apologizing to Kendrick, sparking a huge debate in hip hop over cultural appropriation and the Grammy's. Honestly, Macklemore as a whole feels retconned out of the early 2010's hip hop scene. Dude was massive back in 2013 and was the first rapper to go Diamond with a single but wounded up just falling off and not getting talked about ever again.

-Jay-Z and Beyonce both being heavily associated with the Illuminati back in the late 00's/early 2010's. What's crazy is that I've never known Illuminati discussions to be that prominent until that era. Social media could have played a role in that though.

-50 Cent starting a branch of his label called "G Note" which was supposed to include non-rap acts and signing Pauly D on an episode of Jersey Shore for promo only for literally nothing to come out of it.

-DJ Khaled saying the N Word frequently on his songs in the early part of his career.

-Black Eyed Peas being conscious and lyrical for their first 2 albums before becoming a Pop/Crossover group.

-Pete Rock dissing Lupe Fiasco for "ruining" the TROY beat for his single "Around My Way."

-Dr. Dre's work with the World Class Wreckin Cru

-Mos Def having heavy promo and hype for his "Black Jack Johnson" rock band only for nothing to come out of it besides a few shows.

-Cube hurting his reputation with the "Are We There Yet?" movie series. I remember so many people being disappointed in Cube for that and it didn't help that Cube's music around that time frame was gangsta too.
