Side note: We need to normalize having just 1 interview. Why do we need 3,4,5,6 etc. Especially when you have people taking off work to go to these interviews, just to tell them you don’t want them 20 interviews later.

seriously this.

luckily my current job was just a 1 and done and i was hired right away.

but shyt some of the places i was interviewing at, had like 5 meetings that ain't end up with shyt...wasting my time. One place had the owner coming in on a saturday and the previous interviewers telling me that the owner never comes in for that kinda shyt so had me like :jawalrus:...but a$$holes ghosted afterwards so it's like :hhh:

I’ve heard of few of these before and still got the job.

I just had a 2nd interview on Monday for a Property Management position, and got the “Well we’re still interviewing others…..”

Literally a hour later they emailed me asking if I could come in tomorrow to meet the staff and tour the property. So don’t totally throw in the towel when y’all hear any of those lines.

Tech world is different than Real Estate tbh.....They love to drag everything out...

hate panel interviews...when I was actively looking in 2019 had a crazy one with like 15 people (7 in office and 8 on a computer screen that they projected onto the white board..shyt might've been more on screen, I didn't really wanna count)

shyt was one of the weirdest interviews I ever had...they asked some weird ass questions

:gucci: 15 people?! These companies are getting more and more disrespectful. Just give me one or two interviews at most and only with people who know what my job entails and lets get this over with. If I don't get the position, just tell me I didn't get the position. Damn

Companies like to play games with this shyt like women.

Thats another one.

“While your skills are great, we think you’ll be better suited for this (entry level) position / opening.

:gucci:
My man she told me how her interview went and various people kept bringing up this other medical position that was more customer facing. By other people I mean different people she met at the office before during and after the interview. She told me about that and I told her they were going to hit her with the swoop and swap like Allstate.

sure enough the next morning the very first thing they send her is an email asking her if she wanted the other position. She inquires about the administrative position and they quote some bullshyt experience that she doesn’t have. The truth is they saw her résumé and figured they could finesse her into taking a position they actually really need to fill. I tried to be made for her but I had that shyt happened to me before to. I did almost 4 months in a billing position making over 15, which was the most I had up until that point, and do the office politics I was let go. Their HR says they didn’t want to lose me because I was a good worker so they sent me to another division in the business. A guy walks me around the workshop and shows me what they do and proclaims proudly “ and that was your interview.” I ask what the pay is the next day when HR gets back to me and it was 10 fukking dollars. I ghosted them and my mom was pissed thinking I blew my opportunity. :mjlol:

LMAO, this thread is hilarious. These days there is very little difference between the job search process and online dating. You put in a bunch of applications, go on a lot of interviews, get ghosted, go on more interviews, get ghosted, and eventually (maybe) find one relationship that provides a long term benefits package that vests early:russ:

Don’t forget projects.

:mjlol:

I’ll bush all assignments / homework. Depending on the company tho.
