They're on Burna Boy's head for "appropriating" black American dances and gear

Meanwhile in real life….At the African American museum

:dead: :pachaha:

Point being, ”ADOS” look ridiculous to get on the internet and try to itemize black culture , when in real life no such division exists or is even possible. You got thousands of “ADOS” happily having the time of their life celebrating a West Indies mans party and thru their actions validating that date and that origin. Yet here you are posting a video of the Jubalaires. :deadrose: Diaspora wars only work on the internet

Do people who constantly use “Africans" realize that Africa is made up of 54 countries and that the large presence of Nigerians, Eritrians and Somalians in the States is not a representation of "Africa" and its views? Thats like someone calling someone from Mexico and Haiti as "Americans" cause they are in the same continental region.

But hey, what do I know :hubie:

Man shut up yo dumbass up
We just had a thread that was sent to the bushes about Caribbean festival playing trap/drill music
And somehow you nikkas of different immigrant groups couldn’t wait to talk shyt about American black people.
You nikkas always do the same thing and read from the same script
Ie throw rocks then hide your hands
Act like some victims/helpless fukking puppies
This shyt ain’t just online
Just because a muthafukka loves reggae music or enjoys Afro Beats
Does not omit the bigotry some black immigrants have towards black Americans because they were called ugly in the 80s
When some of your own parents don’t want you nikkas matriculating with us or even dating us
And before you call cap
I’ve dated Caribbean girls and parents were definitely on some :mjpls:
Dated a Nigerian girl I was madly in love with and we couldn’t get married because of her parents:mjpls:
So save that shyt for you gump nikkas who live online and ain’t been outside
Diaspora Wars as you nikkas like to say doesn’t only go one way bytch ass nikka
Black people of all diaspora have some real hard conversations to have and healing to do

I’m not arguing the origin of block parties :what:

The event was the 50th anniversary of hip hop and the specific date of origin is Kool Hercs party

Full stop. And there’s hundred of others from that day and this month. Understand now?

So I after last week i don’t wanna hear shyt about ‘oh nah it was from, uh, Pigmeat Markham’. Aight then holla at me when thousands of “ADOS” celebrate Pigmeat Markham day :beli:

At the height of Black American music over 20 years ago, when confidence was at an all time high..no one in America would have cared that a Nigerian artist was wearing timbs etc.
Infact Black Americans would be praised for having far reaching influence, right.

Burna was told to wear that shyt to appeal to us audiences..standard practice.

But this thread reeks of jealousy and insecurity and I understand why, we all do.
I’m not sure what you mean. Hip hop is still the biggest genre. And it’s signature is written all over Afrobeats and and Latin music

The problem was dude was there talking greasy with the tired “don’t know where you come from” bullshyt, yet jacking wild sauce at the same time. Obviously the actual people this comes from, will feel some type of way :why:

It’s very cringe once diaspora wars go public, when ‘ADOS’ start getting petty and desperate for credit.

I would prefer he stop the sampling also. Bc Afrobeats is already a wave. Doesn’t need rap. Mfers are hurt—-bc rap isn’t selling—- so now they gonna start itemizing

It’s silly bc there’s too much shyt in black culture that doesnt have ‘ADOS’ origins if we wanna start being petty. Even rap itself ain’t ADOS :pachaha:we did just celebrate the 50th of hip hop going by the date of Kool Herc’s party didnt we?:wtf:

Or, Wait for You was one of the biggest rap songs in recent years sampling Tems wasn’t it….and actually Future is a real ‘different’ lookin mfer so I did a quick search:

Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn was born in Atlanta, Georgia of Haitian parents.

:gladbron::laff::dead: Lmao Foh
1. You are xenophobic and envious of AA’s. Just look at your posting history. Its sad and pathetic. Did some AA brehs fukk your mom/sister?

2. Future is ADOS, not haitian

burna boy been giving props yet nikkas still wanna be mad and flex for brownie points.

i dont ever see fba mentioned unless it’s congruent with something an african says or does from some sensationalized article.

“he said we have no culture but he’s jocking our style”

what? he never said anything close to those words. words have meaning.

stated his dmx influence, gave sympathy for the displacement of ba but nikkas wanna flip that into a negative somehow and make shyt into an unnecessary dikk measuring contest

rest of the diaspora been showing mad appreciation lately but somehow people always find ways to turn some innocent shyt into a whole bunch of weird narratives.

most 2nd gen africans grew up here with an appreciation for the culture and wanted that validation from our peers but those people would often get clowned back for their own origins. it wasn’t even cool to be african until like 5 years ago and now everything we say has rent free space in peoples mind. why the sudden uproar idgi
