They are no more their own character than Miles Morales is. Black Spider-Man black Superman still doesn’t negate the point they are just “black” versions of existing white characters. And everyone knows the best “black Superman” was Harvey Dent of earth 9 at least he was unique in his power set to the standard Superman.

Calvin Ellis is an established character it not like they’re turning Clark Kent black.

Bullshyt because there were many factors that made the animation popular; first of all it was DISNEY PRINCESS name itself that was iconic and they were marketing Tiana to be the next Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, etc not only that they were going back to classic 2d animation at that time so it was going to be popular regardless of who the character was

Im not really into of marvel, never even seen Black Panther tbh so genuinely asking out of curiosity..

It would be tough because these characters don't have the mainstream recognition that the Marvel and DC characters have.

But someone should be working to get these characters recognition. A small web series or something to get these characters shine.
