All the bickering about Black Superman is kinda pointless, y'all forget there are about a million streaming services so theres a number of potential companies that can adapt original black characters. Milestone aren't gonna happen until they get their profile back up comicwise.
Another thing to point out is that mainstream comics have made their bread and butter off of legacies. There's a reason we have black spidermans and asian flashes. Comic book fans (nerd fan bases in general) are notoriously against new characters and new concepts. Damn near half of DC's line up is Batman related and he's holding them sales wise.
The best thing fans can do is support non DC and Marvel books and projects when they're released and hope Netflix, Prime, Max, Hulu pick them up and adapt it.
