This just makes me profoundly depressed.
You can TELL he's still hurting, look at how he's double clutching and patting the ball just like he did last year when his shoulder exploded.
He clearly either needs to take a year away from the game and rehab and recover and then try and make a comeback, or retire. Because he's just not physically there anymore. And knowing what he used to be before the TOS and then his shoulder exploding this just makes me sad, man.
Harvey was too good for this crap to just completely ruin him like this.

I just said this on Twitter. He's not a fraction of the player he used to be and it has to be killing him on the inside. He was great his first couple of years. Life is cruel.
Harvey's fall hurts, he was the first sign of hope after some really dark years. He had a swagger about him this franchise desperately needed, and at his best he was arguably the best pitcher in baseball, this hurts a lot to see

This record has masked a lot of the Mets' problems. This 10 game trip will say a lot about this team.
His slider in 2013 was the first pitch I'd seen since Pedro's slider that I felt confident in saying that it was, simply, unhittable. The only way you could get one is through sheer luck and blindly swinging for a spot and hoping you made contact.
From that to this is just, really you can't help but pity the guy. He REALLY needs to take a couple years away and just get his body right. A lot of guys do it. It's nothing to be ashamed off.
But the Dark Knight died that ninth inning in Queens in 2015.

Fan and media pressure had a lot to do with him returning early. They don't make the World Series without Matt. He had a hell of a run.
I think one of Matz and Wheeler will figure it out. Harvey is the real lost one. Wheeler looks like he cleaned up his mechanics so I'm optimistic about him but yea as a fan, it's annoying to be so unsure about em.

He's gotta learn to be a ground ball pitcher. That's how he can at least carve out a role. Turn into a high out rate guy in the dirt.
