- Matz has no confidence and it shows.
- That at-bat Reyes had in the 7th was atrocious.

- Jay Bruce quietly in a mini-slump but I'm positive he'll pick it up again.
- There is zero production coming from the catcher spot right now, Mets gonna have to ride it out for a long time until someone can produce there. Either a trade or free agent pick up,........ or something.

Don't think we trading with anyone for a catcher... Our farm system sucks.
I don't think we need to lol. Maybe not trash but it's not stacked enough to overbid for somebody.
We gotta remember this is a marathon. We're still in the lead in the East.

Pitching coach tells Harvey to relax with his fastball, he gets killed throwing his off speed stuff. He can't win. He gave a lot to the Mets before his body broke down.

I don't think they have the prospects, but the Mets need a legit number three pitcher. The idea of 5 and dive with your 4/5 starters is cool, but your 3/4/5? That bullpen might be toast by June (they have the arms to rotate to do it, but it's still a daunting task). They're going to need a Patrick Corbin type who can go after Syndergaard/deGrom.
Also think the best lineup for the Mets is Bruce at first with Conforto and Nimmo in the OF playing. Makes the lineup more dangerous.

Why I didn't like the Adrian Gonzalez signing to begin with.
Even though we should've, we have plenty of solid options imo. The real question is are we really expecting Matz, Harvey and Wheeler to all be trash?

Y'all notice how Harvey can't put away hitters anymore? This is hard to watch
edit: Harvey hasn't pitched more than 5 innings in his last 11 starts. He looks like he's just throwing and not pitching. 4 pitches in and ATL had 1st and 3rd zero outs. Harvey ain't even trade material at the moment, hasn't been for a long time.

Yes, I am. Harvey was once great. Matz had a few games and Wheeler was never good.
Don't know how long you can let Harvey keep going. If the front office spent money on pitching in the offseason, you wouldn't be too worried. After Noah and Jacob, it's a crapshoot.
