Eiland hasn't helped Harvey. He told him to lay off of the fastball and go to the breaking ball. He did just that and got rocked.

Giving Harvey one more start depending how Wheeler pitches. I don't understand how his fastball is dropping year by year. After TJS he averaged 96.5 on his fastball, he hasn't had an arm surgery since theneither. He had TOS but that's not an arm surgery so makes me wonder if it's mental. Dude seems like a shell of himself.

Embarrassing performance tonight. They can't situational hit. This team's flaws are becoming exposed more and more.

I think the TOS is a major part of it. Some pitchers go through it and are never the same. Especially the ones who are as affected by it to the point where they have to take out a rib to relieve the pressure. It essentially ended Chris Carpenter, Jeremy Bonderman and Shaun Marcum's careers. And Phil Hughes never really made it because of it.

I know its the NY Post but :mjlol: ......

https://nypost.com/2018/04/20/its-the-beginning-of-an-ugly-end-for-matt-harvey-and-the-mets/

Mets ain't trying to be held hostage by Harvey and his 6.00 ERA. Every 5 days tax the bullpen 6-7 innings cause Harvey giving up 5-6 runs in the first 2 innings ain't gonna fly. Last night I got the feeling Callaway was like, "Oh hell no! you ain't taxing the pen with 7 innings of work, get your ass back out there!" :mjlol: Like I said, right now hes bullpen status, 3-4 batters at the most, 1 inning of work and get him out of there. Callaway taking the kid gloves off with Harvey.

:dead:
Nelson Figueroa going in on him was my favorite :russ:

Harvey moved to the bullpen

:manny:

I'll always have love for Harvey because he had the most dominant stretch I've ever witnessed from a Mets pitcher but the other guys just deserve it more at the moment.

Also, this is a move I bet Terry never would've made. Or at the very least he'd wait until like June or July to make it.
