He was definitely on pace tho

There one thing Wright has going for him is the fact the media absolutely loved and many in the media said he was the nicest player they ever dealt with. Taking that into consideration with the trajectory he was on before the injuries give him a fighting chance.

All the media has to do is start the narrative. He was definitely a hall of famer when he was healthy. You just have to look at his numbers from 2005 to 2014. Keep in mind that he only had 6 full seasons playing without his back hurting him after the early 2011 injury.

Regardless I don’t remember the last time a player that holds so many records for a franchise does not get in. Fans and media love him, how hard he tried to come back etc. Steroids are the only exception.

He’ll get in.

I totally disagree. He was loved but that's about it. He was never even close to being the best player in the league. This ain't football where 6 or 7 great years gets you in. I'll be surprised if he even gets his number retired by the Mets
