I still remember the hype and the excitement of his first game, I can't believe it was 14 years ago. David and I are the same age. Him and Jose got called up during a time in my life I was just really really unhappy, at times all I had was baseball. I relied heavily on baseball . I don't know where I'm going with this but during David's initial retirement press conference when he spoke about how important it was to him for his daughters to see him play and how much he loved baseball but get loved his family more and I understand Everything in my life changed and took a backseat to me the second my son was born. At one point in both our lives Baseball was everything, and as much as we still love baseball it has nothing on how we feel about our kids. Thank you David, even with the millions he made, the great career he did have, the dime piece wife, he is someone legit deserved better. The HR his first AB back in 2015 and the world series still give me goose bumpa Thank you for the memories

I'd be pissed if I paid resale for this game only for the Mets to yank Wright early.
It’s obvious that he can’t be out there for long. Can’t get greedy at this point. 2 years ago we doubted we would ever see him play again.

This is probably the longest non DeGrom or Thor game I've seen since July and I'm glad the entire organization went all out to show wright love. It's not everyday they get it right, but when they do it's something to see
