Bottom line is Tony talked the talk but too weak handle what he was supposed to do(even implied by the weakest one in both families lil carmine), which was the exact meaning of the test dream.....By the last season even the little nikkas in his crew wasn't kicking up the full amount, Tony wasn't that respected, and his decisions were irrational...

Jackie killed a member of Raphie (and thus Tony's) crew. Shot at Tony's main soldier. He TOLD RALPH TO HANDLE IT; and even suggested Jackie gets a pass. Ralphie he didn't want TONY to know he put him up on the robbery, so he ordered jackie killed. Ralphie used his soldier, vito, to kill jackie.

It could've been a luke/vader struggle or slowly bubbled fued between the aprile side of the family and the soprano. They deaded that shyt literally in season two. Jackie Jr was a great compelling story and was more interesting than even Christopher imo. And the jackie / chris fued couldve been epic.
