The reason why sensible people are uncomfortable with large age gaps (the ones where one person is in late teens/early 20s) is because young women and men are dumb and are easily taken advantage of. But “advantage” comes in many forms. It can be physically, emotionally, mentally, financially… But many gaps like this are for the sole purpose of some type of power or advantage no matter the gender.

I was about to say, I dont think large age gaps are an issue when the person is over 25/30. 18-23/24 yeah, but late 20s/0ver 30 I dont see the issue. This happens all over the world.
