I'm actually getting more comfortable with this line of thinking everyday. Resigning Millsap to a $200M deal to be a 5 seed with no shot at winning the East doesn't do any of us any favors, not with a team as bad built as this one. Here's the thing tho: If you don't resign Sap what do you do next? Who do you sign with that money? I believe you have to spend to a certain percentage of your cap space so we would have to use that money (it wouldn't be $200 million since Sap plays/played for the Hawks) but it would be a huge hole that we'd have to spend. Thoughts?
I think the WOAT situation is an interesting one because I would hope that we try to move him but there's a chance that he doesn't go anywhere because we can't find someone who wants his skill set at that price.
I also think we've seen WOAT be comfortable...he's been in this system 3 years now, 2 of them as a starter so I'm not sure how much more comfortable he could be. Schlenk gets bonus points from me if he can find a way to move WOAT this offseason
