How is what we're doing a "shyt show"? :dwillhuh:
You're where no team wants to be. Not good enough to compete for a title and not bad enough to get a good lottery pick.

Giving Bazemore all that bread put you in shyt show territory alone.

I just wouldn't see the logic in bringing in a guy from an organization that became dominant by drafting well and not let the guy spend some years building this team the right way through the draft.

Considering this is the Hawks, they might end up doing this. I hope I'm wrong :mjcry:

Might have to take on a bad contract or two to get rid of him, which I'm fine with. Maybe some expiring contracts from a team desperate to unload some bad deals. I'm hoping that your source is right and a deal for WOAT is on the table
Honestly, you should keep him if we can't get value for him.

I would like a trade with the Pelicans for E. Moore and Poindexter. We can cut Quincy and Moore is a good backup SG and gives us an excellent shooter off the bench.

I'm actually getting more comfortable with this line of thinking everyday. Resigning Millsap to a $200M deal to be a 5 seed with no shot at winning the East doesn't do any of us any favors, not with a team as bad built as this one. Here's the thing tho: If you don't resign Sap what do you do next? Who do you sign with that money? I believe you have to spend to a certain percentage of your cap space so we would have to use that money (it wouldn't be $200 million since Sap plays/played for the Hawks) but it would be a huge hole that we'd have to spend. Thoughts? :ld:

I think the WOAT situation is an interesting one because I would hope that we try to move him but there's a chance that he doesn't go anywhere because we can't find someone who wants his skill set at that price.

I also think we've seen WOAT be comfortable...he's been in this system 3 years now, 2 of them as a starter so I'm not sure how much more comfortable he could be. Schlenk gets bonus points from me if he can find a way to move WOAT this offseason

Outwardly, yeah he acts carefree in general with the faq ass bazegaze. He tried to live up to the contract and reality hit him he's strictly a role player that Bud blessed with 70m. I have trust Schlenk will find a way.

Regarding Sap, I'm leaning on letting him go. Considering a brand new GM, the team could clear 30 million in usable money for free agency. But he'd have to wash the team's hand of every single free agent, including Hardaway from the books...

Of course the ATL
a GM with some sense :banderas:

Sad to see that Lunchpail Paul may leave though :wow:

He likes Sap and his game but for max money? Nah I'm good on that too

He had an interview on the vertical where he made it seem as though both dwight and millsap will be moved or let go. Also, he said we drafting a big at 19.

Would love to get his opinion on WOAT and THJR too. I dont think Wop is going anywhere, but I can understand trying to see what we can get for him

All this talk of not having bad contracts makes me think he will shop bazemore. As far as I can tell he has made it seem like thjr is a priority, even more than millsap.

He's also been referring to dwight as one of the best big men in the game. I'm pretty sure he's just trying to talk up the value of dwight in case a good deal comes along.
