If her situation is exactly as you've said it is, you are absolutely correct. The gist of it is, WE DONT KNOW. We can "what if" all day long-- maybe she is married and cheating on her taxes to get more money, maybe the father of her child is present and supporting the child, maybe she doesnt have the mentality you say she has and loves getting an education, maybe she got 3000 back from school and invested that in her kid, maybe she will spend five times as much as that on her kid when she becomes a nurse, maybe she spent every loose nickel on her kid during the year and decided to splurge this one time, maybe her kid will see her in school and value education too, maybe she'll graduate, move into your neighborhood and contribute more to the community that any unflawed person you know.
I dont know any of this. She didnt bring this on herself by shopping. She fukked up by being black.
you want to get mad at your nose for sneezing, but not attack the actual illness.
And despite all this drivel you still only have assumptions. You don't know anything about this women's finances, tax information, parental skills, nothing. You just seen her pic and drafted up every negative stereotype typical of the cac mind. This women could be just a single mom wage slaving at home depot. She could be a manager making a nice salary. Wouldnt be surprising since she is a nursing student, a positive you failed to mention during your self righteous soap box posts. She could have rich relatives or a sugar daddy for all we know. The simple fact is we don't have enought evidence to deem her as irresponsible or lacking priorities. Lets not make this about her, who did nothing wrong, and keep it focused on this department store/NYPD's egregious racial profiling. Cacs already label us with all these stigmas regardless. We don't need house nikka Dom Lemon types to further define us
Maybe you do need a "Dom Lemon" type who will actually speak out instead of a Russell Simmons who will sell you a Rush card and make Harriet Tubman rape videos. Hmmm...
You know good and gotdamn well this young woman isn't a manager at Home Depot. And the story goes, and she admitted, that she put the money from a tax return to open a new bank account, so your little made up fantasies aren't real. She paid for a handbag, almost 3gs, with a blank debit card. In case you dont know, you can't verify an ID with a blank nameless debit card, but you can swipe money with it. So for any regular idiot, that would put up a red flag.
NYC has issues. Stop and frisk is ridiculous. Anyone who is not rioting over that drivel should sit their asses down and shutup over some young chick overextending on a purse and getting questioned about it because she used a blank atm card.
You have enough evidence to deem her irresponsible, because we know she is 21 with 2 kids and needed her tex return to buy this purse. Period. But you are more about making this a point that I am trying to villianize the woman and not the larger issue at hand, which is our priorities as blacks.
Victim mentality our generation has, we don't stand and fight we cry about b.s. and hope Jay-Z will change us. Stand up and be a man. You can't fight others unless your own home is in order.
She did do something wrong. Not legally, but she did something that a lot of our young next generationers have done, and its time to change. Who cares, Barneys could sell to every black person in the world and it aint gonna make the african american culture any better. We have bigger fish to fry is the point I am making.
Look at you now. CAC. Cracka ass cracker, am I correct? I mean, seriously, you use CAC so often that you dont even know you are using it probably. Like say um, a message board we stumble upon that are calling us Nigs or whatever is the same ass thing! So its cool to call other races CACS and all that but we are such the victim when people do things to us.
