OK, so we can believe King's contemporaries in the 80s, and 90s, right? That should be enough?

I'm talking about the alleged audio tape.
The (alleged) victim, the (alleged ) rapist, and the man who allegedly witnessed the act and alledgedly laughed are all deceased.

Which of his contemporaries spoke about this alleged incident?

Like I said in the old post here, King and extra marital stuff is an old story. The late Ralph Abernathy aired this out decades ago, others have aired it out.
That old story is different than the brush they are trying to paint MLK with here. Unless I misread the posts/articles, the only "evidence" of this incident was the hidden audio and the notation of the agents.

The fact is Kings close friend Ralph David Abernathy released a book "And the Walls Came Tumbling Down" where he talked about Kings affairs, right up until the night before he was killed. Even those other civil rights legends who criticized Abernathy said he violated Kings trust and betrayed him, NOT that he lied. At the end of the day, while King was one of the greatest men in history, he was still a man with man weaknesses. I'm actually surprised the FBI didn't have info on his affairs on the front page of every newspaper. That could have destroyed him and his cause. Particularly with him being a Christian minister. Instead he was assassinated, turning him into a martyr.

But the real ones will know that no matter how many women he may or may not have slept with it had nothing to do with the work he put in for the advancement of black people overall.
