Dude roland basically broke down why no one should even trust anything Hoovers FBI (FBI in general) has ever said or info they have. From tell all journals disappearing to hoovers own files disappearing once he died.

Second if you or anyone has elder family members who were in the civil rights movement (I do) they will tell you that law enforcement and the government were doctoring up files, spying on folks and trying to cause issues between groups and family members. Not just in the 60s or 70s but some of this shyt was still going on in the 80s. So if your parents or grandparents or aunts or uncles were in civil rights groups such as the Panthers, NOI, NAACP, CORE, SCLC and SNCC in the 60s and 70s. They most likely had FBI files on them and their kids and kept them active up through the 80s.

Here is the thing the director said the tape sent to kings wife may have been a fake tape that hoovers boys created with actors.

So they still were doctoring tapes even the ones we know of.
