Serious question: Why is The Boondocks considered c00n shyt in your eyes, and the show in your avi isn't?
Was there a episode of the Wayans that critiqued Black America?

Damm I musta missed that :dead:

Ja Rule did the "we's our own worst enemy" .

:mjpls:

Of course no one in their right mind will co-sign folks fighting over a gimmick fast food item but taking the "we's got to do better" angle ain't the move.

No, but Bill Cosby went after the show for its content.

And you have a problem with The Boondocks because it critiqued black America? :mjtf:

The introduction theme song and comedy of The Wayans Brothers tv show just went right over your clueless head huh? They made fun of c00ns, bucks and toms - y’all dont research or read for shyt. During that era, the Gumbel Brothers (Bryan and Greg Gumbel) were considered the corniest of c00ns. The opening scene was satire versions of them bc of how whitewashed they were. It’s called a depiction.

If we can't admit and discuss things that are ridiculous about our own people among ourselves then where can we have those discussions
People fighting and literally killing each other over chicken sandwiches is ridiculous, no matter the demographic involved. Anyone defending that shyt as some kind of statement for unfiltered blackness is a fool

Oh and Neg c00n

False narrative?
someone literally died over an altercation about the sandwich
And there have been countless fights
AGAIN why don't you c00ns want to discuss? Why do you celebrate degenerate behavior from black people?

Negros are actually showing out for this chicken, I was in LA last weekend waiting in line for this sandwich and there were at least 3 nikkas acting a fool drawing attention to themselves trying to go viral.

You misinterpreted what I said. I think The Wayans Bros. is one of the GOAT sitcoms. I've never considered it c00n shyt.

I was asking OP the difference between both shows because he seems to have a problem with Boondocks specifically because it critiqued the black community. He singled out the MLK episode, for example. But it had satire, social commentary, and insight on certain things that you wouldn't see on other shows, and couldn't see because of the voices those shows came from.

The UPN/WB era is constantly cited as :mjpls: , both on and off this site. A lot of people look down on the shows that came from that era because they felt like the content was ignorant. It's a stigma that shows like The Wayans Bros. fall into, even if it's undeserved.

My point is, it doesn't make sense to treat The Boondocks as "anti-black" and something that treated like black people as a joke for white approval when you could say the same thing for a show like The Wayans Bros. (And again, I don't subscribe to that belief. I love both shows and I agree with everything you said).
