I will say this..

Cuz I get that we draft these really good young players with low contracts but the moment they ball out and outplay they contract.... some of y’all be ready to dump them and move on to the next guy while said player is still playing very well and possibly in their prime.

But if we indeed decide to let him walk.... we for DAMN SURE better get someone back in return that plays just as well if not better.

Him back there has made the game much easier for Buck, Bosa, Ford, and etc other guys do their jobs.

If we let him walk and the next man comes in cheaper but can’t produce at the same level or if we pay money to other guys in other positions that’s now not producing.

Then what as the fukking point?:dwillhuh:
Armstead was hurt most of his career. You don't sign him to no 70 million dollar contract when you got other players to pay. The 49ers won't have a losing season without him at all.

Buckner and Kittle are worth the money. You use Armstead money on their contract.

Anyone can get hurt though and my fear is he becomes another “Delanie Walker” type scenario where he goes elsewhere and BALLS THE fukk OUT while we get some bum to replace him who in another year or 2 we giving up on and needs to draft at that possession again to fill this same hole when we still got others holes or needs that need to be taken care of

Come on breh, you know me well enough by now:russ:

“Arik Armstead has been tremendous for us this year,” Lynch said. “Arik is going to make a lot of money, whether it’s with us or somebody else. He’s playing really well and bringing a lot to the table. We’re glad we have him and we’re going to work hard to try to keep him, but you can only sign so many, so we’ll see where that goes.”
Lynch pretty much said “nah I’m good”

The bolded is the only thing I saw:lolbron:

Who cares. You rather risk Kittle or Buckner playing somewhere else to keep this dude:gucci:

i think if they cant find a reasonable $ amount they will just franchise and trade him. Paraag has proven though he knows how to make contracts so i dont think its worth worrying about. also it sounds like somebody might of hinted to greg papa that they gonna ask Dee ford to take a hit on his contract based on his availability.

Honestly, the drop-off from giving DJ Jones/Jullian Taylor more playing time next year after losing Armstead isn't nearly as sharp as losing Buckner/Kittle would be to the team. Honestly, running Bosa-Buckner-Jones-Ford would likely be the preferred situation against most pass-heavy teams, especially if Warner keeps being disruptive in tackling as he has been, and with Kwon back.

Run defense will be more problematic... but paying Armstead a grip is just illogical knowing you'll need to spend big on Buckner and eventually Bosa.

I think the only way Armstead comes back is if Ford gets traded away. Dude was like Ward - took forever to find the right fit on the team, and will likely get paid pretty well for this single year of production... just not in SF.

Exactly. I don't know why people think Armstead is some pivotal piece to the defense:mjlol:

No you save that money for other player contracts.

Plus we need to know what we have in Street. I think people forgot about this guy. 49ers need to stop targeting injured players for real. But we have to see what he has.

Re-signing Armstead is a NO for me dawg.

These are the people you need money for, not Armstead. :lolbron:

Seriously though. I have to take back the things I said about Deebo. I didn't like the pick. I thought it was too high and he dropped a lot of crucial passes. But he's became a major beast as a Rookie as the season went on :salute:

You'll never get me to change my mind about Pettis. fukking bum.
