from 1st to 5th the nfl really needs to just seed playoffs based on your record. winning a shyt division shouldn't grant you a home playoff game automatically or even making the playoffs. Divisions should just be used as placeholders to make the schedule easier to manage.

I'm alright with the way it is. It may not be fair, but i'm cool with rewarding division winners regardless of record. Some years just play out like this year. Niners still have control of their destiny.
