That anti social part of this pic reminds me of the threads cats do every month or so on how it's cool to be an introvert and why do folks keep trying to talk to them lol.

I don't get what people are mad about.
But please consider
A.) Most of what we consume is created by whites so I don't even get where the fake outrage is coming from.
B.) People are happy to see something other than the same ole shyt. The overwhelming majority of blk media is either dysfunctional relationships, hood/ghetto memoirs, unfunny blk men dressed like women, caricatures of blk femininity, blk c00ns dancing or teaching rhythmly challenged whites how to dance, gang movies, slavery movies, or sports movies.
So this is different which is a good thing.

I'm happy about the hype b/c I'm sure it's well deserved. Chadwick did well with the character in Civil War.

Personally I'm just excited to see a fictional/fantasy movie with minimal whites in it...lmao!

Instead of watching a black male janitor traverse a foreign galaxy and risk getting killed for a white woman.
:comeon: If anything the response to this should inspire MORE blks to do speculative fictional films and books b/c clearly there is a market for it.:blessed: Or are whites the only ones allowed to be excited by shyt like Lord of the Rings and stuff?:comeon:

Black Panther is owned and created by a white man
Just because he's the first black superhero don't create an ownership for the culture type thing with this movie.
Ya'll didn't give a shyt about Blade after all

Black Panther is owned & produced by cacs tho? :gucci:

Yeah, I did a quick IMDb search after reading all the hype following the premier, geeked to see at least one black producer on the project (assuming at worst the director would at least have a low level production credit) so I could talk big shyt and feel ultra proud that black folks was damn near 90% responsible for the creation and execution of this project, but I quickly found out it was produced exclusively by white folks. :francis:

Especially after reading a couple comments from critics about how 100% "African" the movie was. :francis:

I'm still geeked to see it though.

Black Panther is a dope superhero connected to the larger MCU. That's why it's going to succeed.

But yeah... Shea butter twitter is toxic. I guess they looking for somebody else to yell at since that Michael B Jordan boycott didn't really get em no attention :mjlol:

Hes a boring superhero

I already know Killmonger is the main reason this film will be good

i genuinely think coli nikkas are doing the most with this "but it was created and its owned by cacs" just as much as the girl in that stupid tweet in the opening post

everyone with general knowledge and common sense knows its creators and IP owners are white. the support for the movie is coming off the strength of it having a black lead, and majority black cast as well as director. it is a fictional black hero and self sufficient and thriving black nation being translated to the major screen as part of the most successful film universe ever. It is also an opportunity for people to show hollywood and critics that black stories/films can be successful without being slavery or hood related or some tyler perry dressed as a woman movie. black people deserve more stories. stories that aren't inherently tied and limited to just suffering or buffoonery. we deserve to be superheroes, scientists, space farers and explorers, all these other heroic and/or admirable things that others get to be on fictional stories all the time.

y'all nikkas resenting people being legit happy about taking their kids and brothers to watch a superhero that looks like them are just as dumb as the hotep/blavity/shea butter twitter y'all complaining about.

go watch a movie with a black cast, support it, help it be successful and proven commercially viable. that will get us leverage. then we can flip the table and make depictions of stories and characters created by us with major money behind it.

but yeah, tweets like the one in the OP are ridiculously stupid, hostile in nature and counter-productive, and ironically hurt the movie by diminishing the pool of potential viewers. these fake woke nikkas on twitter be doing the most for some retweets in their circle jerk cycle.

That's what I'm most worried about tbh.

There's being happy about a movie with a majority black cast getting mainstream attention and then there's getting on Twitter and co-opting this movie as some sort of black cultural revolution to the point where you are dictating to whites what they can and cannot say about what is a white created and owned property. It's better they hear this from other black people rather than whites. We are going easy on them. Anyone who doesn't understand the difference is a moron that doesn't deserve to breathe in my opinion. I'm sick of stupidity being given a pass just because.

He was dope in Civil War... plus nobody knew Michael B Jordan's character would be good, in fact most peeps assumed the opposite.

As usual with these type of things tho, nikkas can't get out of their own way long enough to get a win. :russell:
