It is embarrassing.

But second statement is wrong

If people think there's nothing black about black panther now, lord knows the kind of reaction that'll take place in here if they ever introduce White Wolf who's BP's white adopted brother. The term nikka nerds will be changed to c00n nerds in an instant :francis:

I'm not sure I understand. Bowl of Pasta admits that exchange is faked and never happened.

However I'm more concerned about why Fishburne was chosen, and why that subject matter was chosen, to make it look like a black celebrity on black nobody hit.

What race is bowl of pasta?

This film will certainly do more for black people than any single person in this thread complaining about it. :bpumad:

Keyboard Hoteps kill me. If you've never contributed any money towards aid in Africa (and I mean legitimately) but you wanna be all up in this thread dancin' :cambybp:

Facts!

Similar question to the other thread:
When you buy a new thing, do you get excited about it? Or do you remind yourself that another race made/designed it?
You know who designed that new car, right?
You know who built that new phone, right?
You know the architects that built your house probably weren't black, right?
Let people enjoy stuff, it's never that serious. And no, the money made from this film isn't enough to 'make real Africa better' whatever that means.

This!

At the end of the day its just a movie..

I'm super excited about it, got tickets already and I buy in to the "its good for our community/ Hollywood/ culture/ blah blah"
but I'm not getting too deep about it. Investing emotions into it.. Na :childplease:

I remember getting all deep about Get Out to the point it wore me out.. Then it hit me :mindblown: its just a fukkin movie.

Six months from now black panther will be airing on HBO 5 times a day just like GetOut is now and won't NOBODY be talking about it anymore. As great as a movie is or as much hype as it gets it comes to a point where it runs its course and that's it.

You couldn't pay me to sit down and watch GetOut right now but when it came out I was so geeked I think I took two hoes to the theater to watch it and saw it on bootleg a dozen times just to reanalyze the "greatest movie ever"...

:camby:
You must have really liked it to watch it that many times.

There are a couple movies like that for me. I could be 90, and if it's on I'm watching. Should be sick of them, but either they are just that engaging, or there's a particular part I just have to see again -- so I turn back to it when I know 'that part' is coming up.:yeshrug:

The same dudes "upset" over white people making money off this film probably don't even check or support projects by black studios, directors, etc.

Pretty much just complaining just to complain...with no suggestions,or ain't even doing the action. Basically just being miserable fukks.

Also with this rhetoric of speaking as if black people believe everything is solved because of this movie.

-Black People can't be excited over a dope action movie that doesn't involve seeing the same old white people in it saving the day?

It truly feels like certain people don't like black people being together and happy on certain things:mjpls:

People who agree with OP stance most likely the same people who will be on twitter, or somewhere coming up with "reasons" as to why Black History Month isn't a big deal, and/or trying to do anything to minimize the relevance of the month.

It's not even nikka nerds, it's the blavity blacks.
^^^^This. It is the bougie ass BLM internet activist nikkas with cac bf/gf who never read a single Black panther comic in their life doing too much.
BP being included in the MCU is symbolic of the inclusion and acceptance from whites these BLM shea butter types really want deep down

stan lee is the norman lear of comic books. norman lear is given credit for good times and sanford and son.in reality, both shows were created by eric monte a black man. black panther was created out of the mouth of their penciler Billy Graham

Fixed. :bpsalute:

Also, Jack Kirby had the earliest idea for a black African superhero, but he named him "Coal Tiger". :hhh:

Billy Graham and Don McGregor (a white writer) arguably did the most early development of the character in the pages of Jungle Action. Seriously, read "Panther's Rage"/"Panther's Quest", it's one of the best Black Panther stories ever told (if you can get your hands on it). It's also where Killmonger was originally introduced.
