Damn, a lot of you generalize and push stereotypes of what illegal immigrants are. People think its just people that can't speak english, drunk driving, causing problems. There are a ton of people who are considered illegal but were basically raised in the US. A lot of people that many probably know, but don't even realize they are illegal. I've been surprised myself plenty of times, but people are just embarrassed to admit it.

This shyt is way more complicated than sending juan and his tequila bottle back over the border.
too bad?

Everyone has a story.

There are kids of illegals who are out here trying to campaign to get in-state tuition...not to mention the fact the US let them fukking stay...and then they want even more? After being allowed to complete a degree???

Yeah I definitely agree with that, but on the flip side there can't be unrestricted immigration just because there was a period of time when California was part of Mexico

Almost half of newly-issued California driver’s licenses went to illegal immigrants

Four out of ten California drivers’ licenses issued in 2015 went to immigrants who were in the US illegally, under a new and controversial state law. The time, effort and expense required by the program have got some citizens grumbling.

However, licenses granted to illegal immigrants have the words “federal limits apply” printed on them, which means that police officers in other states aren’t required to accept them as a valid form of identification.

READ MORE: Illegal immigrant allowed to practice law in New York faces death threats

Besides California, nine other states and the District of Columbia allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.

I used to live in LA and had to move away from Little Mexico :snoop:

I ask 1 question: In LA its illegal to be homeless- and they are frequently rounded up, arrested, or AT LEAST ASKED TO "MOVE ALONG" :sas1:

But Mexicans come here illegally, and admit it- why are they not- rounded up, arrested, or AT LEAST ASKED TO "MOVE ALONG" :mjpls:

So If I'm homeless and thats illegal, I'm wrong. So why is a citizen breaking a law treated more harshly than a NON-CITIZEN breaking our laws on our land?? :stopitslime:

How the hell you come here illegally and want a license??? Any of yall been to Mexico???
I have.

A person cannot even wire you money (or you cant pick it up) without- passport, and paper showing point of entry-- you want a Driver slicense in Mexico? You need 1) Proof of status as Mexican resident or citizen 2) mail with current address 3) mexico ID or passport :whoo:

If all these people crossing the border were black with dreadlocks we wouldn't be bending over backwards for them then :francis:

you cant break into my house, then ask me for a bandaid because you cut yourself breaking in!!!! :why:

Its not like they are campaigning to get financial aid, which they won't get. They live in a place their entire life, go to elementary school, junior high, high school in that same place, and they pay like they are out of state. They've been doing that forever. They are kids of illegals, but how do you punish them? they had no say in coming here. A lot of people do go to college, get a degree, but can't do shyt with it.

Everybody does have a story, i guess all bad ones are "too bad". I won't generalize that way thought. If people are struggling without rights, its still an issue, regardless of race or nationality. Just because the people who are coming here aren't YOUR people.

yea and i'm not for unrestricted immigration either. I just think its more complex than a lot of people realize. People want to just build a wall like that's the answer to everything. There are so many illegal immigrants in California now, but they aren't all the same. There are good people, educated people, there are drunks and drug addicts, there are people that like to cheat the system.. so you can't apply a blanket solution to this thing.

Too bad bruh!

They don't get the PRIVILEGE of financial aid.

Statistically as a demographic they don't pay the same taxes and in a MACRO-economic sense that puts a drag on communities. Theres thousands of studies on this.

Their parents have to be held accountable. OK...so the US isn't going to kick them out...now they're campaigning for in-state tuition? Man just be happy the US let you get a Grade A education.

I'm not even calling them bad people, but they're still breaking laws and cutting the lines and undercutting a historically marginalized and disenfranchised community.

Always
Say this loudly.

ONE-HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE BILLION DOLLARS.

Bruh, can you imagine what the black community would do with this?
I can. Small business loans. Black business seed money. National black legal funds. Black think tanks.

Last night I thought of this: A national fund solely dedicated to the development of black Americans. It could have a national board of electorates like the electoral college. Black Americans would vote for what the money would be spent on. The reps would plan and oversee the execution of the approved plan.

Yeah. But if 80% of these illegals are employed (and Asian illegals aren't being ignored in my convo either) then who are they displacing?

You HAVE to ask this.

I'm not saying blacks have to be relegated to service labor jobs...but illegals do EVERY form of employment.

There even illegal immigrant nurses out here fam! :wtf:

Illegal immigrant nurses can now be licensed in California | allnurses

This isn't' just grape pickers. :stopitslime:

I'll look up some of those studies... i honestly havent dug in deep on that side of it. However, from a human rights standpoint, i don't see how campaigning for in state tuition is a drag. Financial aid, yes, i understand that and they should not receive federal aid for education.

I'm not sure what lines they are cutting though. What advantage are they gaining over the historically marginalized and disenfranchised community?

Bruh, in state tuition is funded by taxes and sometimes the lotto...but if we're talking about places like Georgia with a population of 10 million, 400,000 of them are illegal immigrants.

Illegal Immigration Population in Georgia

Thats almost 5%.

And thats just one state.

You're telling me that has NO effect? At all?

And we know the real number is definitely higher.

Trust me, i'm not thinking about grape pickers. I've been around enough illegal immigrants to know that the jobs go deeper than that. I've also seen plenty of people who couldn't keep a retail job because everybody is checking ssn's now. Basic minimum wage jobs that could not be kept because their paperwork doesn't match.

Now the nurse thing? I honestly didnt know about that. But there are certain industries that seem to be targeted by elected officials that rules can be bent for. I don't agree with that. It seems as if an industry can benefit from lowering the average wage, they may do that. Or it could be that there is a higher need for nurses, and this is a way to fill demand. I don't know all the numbers and i don't want to speculate. It wouldn't surprise me if it were a way for certain businesses to minimize overhead. I don't agree with specially targeting those industries though.

You can't just keep coming in here with "oh i didn't know this" and "oh i can't say that"

Bruh, these are the facts. You can't keep dodging them

No one is telling you to get on your neo-nazi steez. I'm merely saying that illegals have directly erased black economic progress in the last 30 years by competing for some of the only things black masses could rely upon for employment.
