There you go. Guess it depends how hard you go for it. If you "take it easy" you can prevent injuries but push too far and
Been they are more concerned with completing the workouts with the time limit than they are with form and safety.

Which is a good thing?

I know about the time limits, it seems silly to me.

Call me crazy but i do actually like the concept of making it a competition. Ppl like to compete and feel like they are doing the work for a real reason other than just to get in shape. They going a little overboard on the intensity maybe but if they did like weight/gender/experience classes...and give out medals/trophies/gifts...it could be a much bigger hit nationwide. :ohhh:

I think a lot of newcomers to the fitness world like the idea of Crossfit. They see these hot bodies and hardcore exercises and think "damn, I wanna be like that." but do not release it's a "scam" and it's bad for you.

I know I did :jawalrus:

Its only bad for you if you aint got people around you telling you how to do things correctly.

I really don't like the fact that they use huge weights yet you look at the actual weight and its a 10lb plate. In a real gym, they'd be tiny ass plates ha

True story, a month or so ago my boss mentioned that him and his fiance went to a Crossfit gym and signed up. He is fairly out of shape, 30 years old, wanting to lose weight for his wedding and feel young again.

Honestly I was kind of a dikk and mocked him about it, which put him on the defensive because he had just dropped a lot of money and was countering my 'crossfit sucks' arguments with all the standard defense

Literally the next day he walks into work limping. Hurt himself doing crossfit, had a doctors appointment later that day. This time I didn't say anything but the 'i told you so' expression on my face was blatant

He is still doing the Crossfit though, he likes it. I haven't seen him lose any noticeable weight yet though.
