I am sitting here checking out this Crossfit national comp. on espn3.com

Son, these fools are crazy. The workouts they get in with this short time span is crazy.

In a 17 min. workout (for the women, guys time is less), they have to finish:

-Toes to bar (3 sets of 21)
-Wall ball (3 sets of 15) 14 lbs. medicine ball to target 20 feet in air
- Farmers carry (70 lbs weights for 100 ft)- up and back
- Burpees to box jumps (28)
- Something else I missed at the beginning (3 sets of 7 reps each- 225 lb. deadlift AND bodyweight raises on olympic rings)
- 3 bodyweight raises to finish

So far, no women has completed that shyt, EVER. Crazy!! (Edit: Just had 2 women finish in time, including one chick finish in 15:30)

my cousin has a cross fit gym.
I did his routines, and they will fukk you clean up.
you not ready if all you do is weight and cardio.

real talk,....
it re-motivated the fukk out of me, because I was close to falling off.
as I only had so much more weight to lift.
I was getting bummed about not getting anymore gains since I had maxed out on the weight I had in my gym.
when, I came back home, from vaca and his gym.
someone gave me 150lb's more of weight.
so, the crossfit shyt worked as an alternative to my workout.
I have not missed ever since starting back, and I am totally rejuvenated from the crossfit workout, and I only was there for two sessions on vacation.
I would recommend it if you were trying to cut.

if you are looking to have an aesthetic look or get bigger.
it really did not strike me as being capable of giving you what you want visually.
if you are into sculpting a certain physique.
crossfit in my bro-science was more cardio and strength.
my cousin is a natural bodybuilding amateur who earned his pro card by winning three straight events.
then, never competed because he hates and never used steroids.
so, it turned him off to pro bodybuilding.

he switched to crossfit cause he is older and he loves the shyt.
I am not built for crossfit though.
real talk,..i would rather power-sculpt my physique.

he also,...has routines and workouts nobody else has, and one of them was the simplest shyt but it fukked me up.

if you want to do crossfit,..
check out monstrosities gym if you are in the b-more area.

Bad for your body I'm told.

not really,...
it is lighter on your joints than freeweights.
plus, the workouts are shorter, but make you feel like you put in way more work in one session.
than any weight lifting or cardio you would have done your entire life.

you finish,..just the jumping jacks to start and you will be laying on the floor.

Bro I'm not trying to be rude, but your writing style is very difficult to read man. Please work on it.

It depends on the gym and trainers, just like all gyms. You have some noobie trainers who don't know anything and can hurt you.

Often times they give you more weight than you can handle just so you can do a few reps with bad form. I'm not a crossfitter so I don't know, it's just what I've read.

One of my female crossfit friends just strained her Quad during class....

Everyone that I know that does crossfit has had some sort of injury or ailment (such as chronic back pain)

There you go. Guess it depends how hard you go for it. If you "take it easy" you can prevent injuries but push too far and
