I don't mention shyt about women unless asked. men tend to ask about women quite often. that's what men do, ask about women. First thing you hear when you go to a party is where the hoes at.

And that's clearly the height of most of the experiences.

I don't notice it much from you but I read those threads and it's quite clear that a country's hype is mainly dependent on how receptive the women are.

Black face is used internationally, it doesn't have the same history as it does in the U.S, I've come to learn.

Nah B, it wasn't just blackface, they had an Indian man dressed up as an uneducated black woman named Thandiwe (very common Bantu name) acting like an idiot. The premise was that she was a Xhosa man's 7th or 8th wife (polygamy is a part of traditional Nguni culture, but whites there see it as immoral) and "she" was illiterate, slow, fought with the other wives (none of them were black actors), spoke in a racist put on accent and basically acted like an overgrown child. It was some some Amos N' Andy bullshyt.

Fair enough. Yea I try to stay clear boasting too much about that, mostly because the regions I tend to frequent are associated with sex tourism, and I don't want folks getting the wrong idea. However, as an expat, the topic of women will always be primary for men before the actual culture of the country. Sounds stupid, but men are natural hunters, we're driven by sex . All you have to say is 'travel' and the first thig to come to mind for men is "new breeding grounds". Sounds weird, but :manny:

Black face is used internationally, it doesn't have the same history as it does in the U.S, I've come to learn. But yea S.A from what I gather is racist for everyone. I have 2 close cac south african friends (the other one is MIA now that he's dating some russian) and one is more well off than the the other. The one that's from a more well off family (from cape) doesn't complain about racism as much, but he makes little remarks like african kids being able to go to some restaurants that whites can't go too, or how they lose court battles just for being white if the judge is black. things like that. the other kid group up in Johan, and he speaks Zulu oddly enough. This kid said school was hell for him, and that he had to work twice as hard to go to his university while others got in just for being Zulu (I guess there's a program for them). From knowing both, it seems like CapeTown is racist for blacks, while Johan is racist for whites.

Maybe I'm biased since my experience there sucked, but that sounds eerily like the complaints of cacs in Canada who resent underprivileged Natives getting free education and money from the government depite everything they KNOW went down in history. Rings hollow to me since they destroyed their culture, benefit(ed) from years of oppression and the events that put them in the state they're in, and are otherwise extremely favored in all other aspects of society. I can't sympathize with them, they benefited/benefit way too much from apartheid :manny: (cacs own like 80% of the land).

Yeah. At least in Europe we've never had specific laws against black people or even segregation. I mean, in a lot of European countries blacks might not feel welcome but at least is not THE LAW.

The vast majority of whites in America are from Europe.

This is what I tell them both, and they usually just stfu after that. I was just making a point that currently, both parties think their country is racist. I've heard indians and chinese call S.A racist too. I still think SA is prolly better than america tho, and I say that cause I'm sure there's entire counties of just people that look like me, that's kinda cool. I mean if you want a nice beach front away from cacs, with an all black african police force you can probably find it, you not finding that in murica. sorry, maybe a neighborhood but an entire county? nah.

You are the first black american male to state they wouldn't want to go to Brazil tho. I've been there twice, and much like @Malta said, I've never heard any black americans complain in fact I'd go as far as to say it's been a 100% hit rate with people going there and coming back on some 'that was paradise' shyt. Only time I read something negative is some cac writing an article and he's biter cause young black buck americans are going there and stylin on him, he aint feeling special no more. They know they taking an L unless they flash some cash, and even then its still an L because they got a gold digger instead of a proper lady, which is what all expat men really want. They b mad.

Well I'm Black but not of African American heritage actually, and I've never been to Brazil. I was speaking more from a Black Brazilian perspective (they're treated second class from most accounts) . From what I hear Brazilians are very partial to tourists from the West (not just America) so I'm not surprised everyone you talked to had a good time. I had a fantastic time in the Dominican Republic despite all the rumors :patrice:....
.

That cac story is also not surprising :mjlol:. Sex tourist cacs are a special breed of lame:pachaha:.

If you liked DR, you'd love Brazil, yes Black Brazilians have their struggles but they are such great people to be around. You speak English so you'd be fine there, English is an easy way of telling if someone is either -

A) Wealthy (or Middle class) & educated
B) A foreigner

There's something to be said about being around millions of people with brown skin & African ancestry, you feel at home, kind of hard to explain but everyone I know that has been has loved it and either thought about moving there or going back as soon as possible.

:patrice::obama: Sounds a lot like my time in Cuba. I guess I jumped the gun on Brazil in some ways.

:salute:I agree it's a unique feeling.

This. That's why its funny to me people complaining about racism in places like S.A and Brazil, I mean its probably tougher for the locals (just like its harder for us than it is for africans in america), but im looking at shyt from my lens, and I'm good. :pachaha:. and brazilians love me, most of all......100 million look like me, and the other 100 million have black blood, so even if they were on some "negro :pacspit:" I'd sit back like nikka pls, your grandma black knock it off :pachaha:. (I have actually used this line lol).

Brazil is like the western hemisphere africa, many can't afford to go all the way back to africa, but Brazil is the next best thing and much closer. Afro Brazilians kept their african roots AND injected them into brazilian culture. its amazing. You've got the whole north part of brazil which is nothing but a sea of brown and tan skin, imagine the entire north of the U.S being 90% black. shyt is crazy. You think some cac article is going to keep me from experiencing that? fukk outta here. run a million stories no1cur, Im still going to link up with my people. :blessed:
