no, no its not. I suggest you look up the definition of both. AA's tend to get them mixed up. But the rest of the world, where their are ethnic tension and cleansing (which also happened to AAs), is much much different. Racism = Hatred. You live in the most mixed/interracial country on the planet, AAs do not.

Anyways, I think what these 2 were bickering about was one was highlighting that Brasil was classism and prejudice while the other was trying to say Brasil had american style racism, that is completely false. Brasil is no where near as bad as America. Obviously there is racism all over the world, humans are individuals after all, there's no telling who hates you and why, but systematically, Brasilians are much more united, proof in that is the mixturing. While AA's are very isolated and hated.

Yes the racism here is indeed different. Another example is how brazil residencial areas (low to middle class) are usually not divided by the type of people who lives in there.
I live in a relatively poor place (not as much as favelas) and my neighbor is mixed as f. There's italians in the houses close to mine. A german dude who is married to a native woman in the front. Some japanese people on the corner, etc. Very mixed shyt.
BUT upper class/rich neighbors are all white of course.
