You have to accept that the fact that the average white persons instinct is to be racist and selfish and form your political theories around that fact.

Whites folks don't really want all these liberal programs to benefit minorities and especially black folks.

It sounds ignorant but it's the truth:yeshrug:
Exactly. I’ve come to the conclusion that until you provide hardcore evidence that racism affects them negatively they will not get on board with policies that help black folks and other minority groups. You have to start from that frame first. Especially economically. You have to Trojan horse it, that way they can’t try to undo it later by trying to target us bc it will affect everyone.

:russ:The idea that gay men have more power than straight white conservative males in this country is just...
Literally not what I said :what:

Go back and read what I said in my post and stop fishing for bullshyt. I said the other issues (womens reproductive rights , criminal justice reform, voting rights, and some other issues in a post I quoted) were not going to move a needle because they had no financial might behind it. Gay rights? Gay men are the most affluent minority group in this country, and that means white gay men. Gay rights aren’t being talked about anymore in the national discourse. Peter Thiel wouldn’t allow that and there are a lot of gay rich white men. Rich Gay white men do not give a fukk about Trans issues and barely care about lesbian issues. So stop fishing for bullshyt and I didn’t read the rest of your post.

i dont even think donors as a whole care about gay rights. rich gay men are a tiny demographic. corporations care about gay allyship virtue signaling opportunities for marketing purposes and because it is a form of activism that largely doesnt conflict with capitalism or systemic white supremacy. with the ascension of millennials and genz into adult life, virtue signaling on intangible things is the new wave that these donors are trying to get savvy at. even republicans have moderated their rhetoric to a small degree simply because of the generational shift that is happening, not because of gay money.

Schumer really needs to go though, they desperately need stronger leadership and someone who'll do a better job vetting candidates. Manchin is one thing but Sinema was easily preventable.s.
"preventable"? breh , sinema is literally in john mccains seat :dead:

this further left politician you want in that seat would have LOST. they wouldnt exist :mindblown: why do you guys act like all 50 dem senators are from california?

:unimpressed: you do realize Arizona has two Democratic Senators right? And the other one doesn't act like Joe Manchin or go out of his way to tank the president's agenda?

And that Sinema is very unpopular in her own state? You could MAYBE make that argument for Manchin, but it's beyond disingenous to pretend Sinema's actions are because of the state she's from.

Nobody said anything about "far left" that's just a FOX News talking point you use. Unless you consider Mark Kelly far left. And he's more popular than Sinema.

You said gay males are the most influential sonars in the Democratic Party. It just sounded like some TLR crap. I’m sorry i retract it. Just didn’t like where that was going
That’s not what I said. I said gay issues take precedence over abortion and voting rights, which we have seen, because they have more money advocating for those issues. That’s not me talking about an agenda, that’s me saying most politicians only care about the next big check.

You mentioned anti-LGBTQIA’s bills across the nation, when it’s mostly anti trans bills. I don’t think that’s high on the priority of those gay male donors.

Republicans are reactionary and always fighting a cultural war. 20 years from now they’ll still be trying to repeal Obamacare, even if a better/more comprehensive law has already replaced it. They don’t stop fighting. That senator admitting states should be able to outlaw interracial marriage tells you everything you need to know about how long they’re willing to fight.

Democrats win and become complacent, more interested in laughing at the unwashed masses who dare disagree with them. They’d rather watch msnbc all day and laugh at how stupid or bigoted someone is…meanwhile that someone is slowly working towards ending Roe v Wade, shytcanning gay marriage, etc.

Exactly. Also people forget that sinema started out as one of green party leaders in Arizona, holding
progressive views and policy before she went completly rogue.

Make them argue and vote against it. :yeshrug: This practice of not making senators actually vote is ridiculous. Even on filibusters, make the other party actually have to filibuster like the old days. Let's see how many of these decrepit a$$holes have what it takes to stand and talk for hours.

The first time I heard of Bernie Sanders was when they made him go up there and talk for hours, and that made me a supporter for life because he was on an island and everyone else were on the same team
