If people spend it foolishly then yeah you’re right

But if people are buying houses, stocks, education, etc then it’s all good

Give me my check

It shouldn't be just cheques. It should be included as part of an income tax return scheme. Each year you get a return of something like 1500 dollars on top of whatever you already get if you fall into an income bracket that makes below 150k a year. Wealthy black people dont need reparations. Wealthy black ADOS can get tax breaks if they're donating to local non profits though. Everyone else though should get yearly payment. If you're receiving any sort of govt assistance it should be tacked on to whatever payments you're getting whether its medicare or unemployment or whatever.

Its insulting to think they can just cut a cheque one time and say "there. We're even now negger. I dont wanna hear no shyt about no fukkin racism when a cop shoots your kid in the back. Or when you get locked up, or when you get turned down for home loans, jobs, or colleges. :beli:"

This should be about closing the gap in generational wealth. First time ADOS home buyers should get a bonus. ADOS college students should get subsidized tuition. This incentivizes colleges to accept black applicants. Businesses should get a reduced rate on corporate taxes if a certain percentage of their management and employee base is black and retained for at least 5 years. ADOS seniors should get discounts on prescription medicines and medical equipment.

She ain’t no different from the trump klan. And I have a feeling you know exactly why I’m saying this.

We can disagree. But as far as I’m concerned. We don’t need to take up for EVERY “black” person. People like her are the reason for the phrase “all skin folk ain’t kinfolk” Kamala with throw you under the B44 bus to advance her career. Believe that

That’s what the democrats want, put up any prop c00n and expect black folks to blindly vote

No check no vote

I get that but here's the thing. What does that have to do with Trump telling a black race woman that she has no right to share what shared at the debate? People are legitimately c00ning for reparations in here. You can disagree with her stances and policies and you dont have to like or vote for her but I'm not going to let Trump jr. Play me like a puppet. I got no strings to hold me down to make me laugh or make me frown.

Naw I feel you on that 100%. I’ve been bouncing in and out of various political threads so me saying that is not so much me acknowledging the original topic as me stating how I feel about her policies in general.

I’m not mad at people having the conversation about her lineage but it has little impact on how I feel about her politically and I felt very strongly about her after watching the debates. Those sentiments changed after taking a closer look at her history as a DA and stance on reparations.

There are people in the ADOS ethnic group who are Mulatto. Other black ethnic groups in the diaspora have mulattos. The former leader of the ADOS faction on here was a German Creole Mulatto......I still don't know what that is and neither did Google when I asked.
How does this help your point? A lot of those ethnic groups don't consider themselves black or only have recently and moreso she's not mulatto or ADOS. Where were you going with this?

This is bigger than Harris, this is about us being so easily manipulated by people like Trump. This is about us being willing to side with white supremacists for scraps. I'm not giving them the satisfaction. I'd rather starve. They can keep the butter biscuits they call reparations. My parents set me up nice in spite of their systematic racism.

:dahell:

Just because a black person makes over 150k doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get reparations

If you make 200k a year maybe you’d be making a million right now if it wasn’t for slavery and Jim Crow

Cut the check

Do you believe ADOS are superior to blacks of the diaspora? Be honest :jbhmm:

Yall nikkas and your projections man.

Where did she say we were SUPERIOR. She just stated that we ARE DIFFERENT. That doesn't suggest better or worse just that we've had different experiences that make us who we are today.

There is nothing wrong with acknowledging differences.

It certainly didn't overlook her, but much like with Barack Obama, the circumstances in her life allowed her to avoid most of it.

She deals w/ prima facie prejudice, but the systemic effects of anti-Black racism have largely been avoided by her.
For sure. I use that to say that she's being authentic when she speaks on her experiences with racism and she's without a doubt aware of how the system can affect blacks.

I mean, she was the top prosecutor in CA after all and was stones throw away while at Howard.

Sadly, I'm not sure that'll lead to the required level of honest discourse and self reflection needed by her critics to "believe" her.

And as I know you're aware, lawyers are a weird bunch when it comes to their personal ethics and their career ambitions. :francis:

They are challenging her fathers blackness because he is half white. Halle Berry is half white yet she is a descendant of chattel slavery here in America through her father. If they start handing out reparations is Halle going to be denied her blackness or what rightfully belongs to her? Since people are making this about reparations when it's really about racist white people not minding their business

One by one, Trump and his campaign along with their dark (BIG) money donors and Super PACs will weaponize right wing media to destroy every Democrat candidate. Y'all think this is a game? They're playing for keeps! Sometimes, things are more than what they seem. We are witnessing the most powerful and most well-funded WS movemement in history.

Harris is exactly who we need not get behind. She has proven she will sell us out. Just because we need to fear the further empowerment of extreme right wingers like trump does not mean we do not need to fear “liberals” who build wealth an power at the expense of our people.

And then your minimizing reparations for slavery as a “butter biscuit” but it’s never that when that check is cut to natives, slave owners, Japanese Americans and everyone else not black.

We get it. Your ‘rents pulled themselves up by their bootstraps with out their fair share of the wealth that was generated by their ancestors so those who make being paid some of what we are owed are looking for a “butter biscuit”. I hear you loud and clear

This is my greatest worry.
Lip-service and a full understanding of the issues do not always equate to genuine action to alleviate said issues.

Everything else about her life makes it all the more questionable.
