True independence is not changing one person approved by those in power for someone else who is also controlled by the same ruling forces. TRUE INDEPENDENCE is like the Cuban revolution. True revolutions only happen with bloodshed.

Mrs. Harris needs to be honest and upfront about her lineage -- and represent who she is. She has stated she is "American" -- she also has said she's Indian-American.
Again - her ethnicity is not African-American/Black American -- and that's OK.
