Just watched the movie again and to be honest they are terrible. From the way his strength was shown on screen to the way he moved it was definitely a downgrade from what he was shown as in Civil War. His first fight with Killmonger should have been unbelievable and the final fight should have been epic. Bare in mind him and Killmonger are two Captain America level fighters with the heart shaped herb granting them super human abilities. Four years after Winter Soldier the fights should only look to be improving not getting worst. Also they need to get rid of that kinetic energy bullshyt as he is to reliant on that. He should move sleek and fast as well as deadly.

Civil war fight scenes

This Black Panther would murk both the Black Panther and Killmonger in Cooglers movie.

This nikka was a badass in Civil War “move captain I won’t ask a second time” “I don’t care”:wow:he’ll if we are being honest we all going to act like the costume in Civil War wasn’t better? :usure:

Black Panther fight scenes

The final fight scene was trash as fukk, nothing epic about it. This is not a fight scene you go back to years later talking about how amazing it is.

Even without the heart shaped herb T’Challa should still be able to fight better than this. As the herb didn’t grant him fighting abilities.

Again nothing exciting about this, yes it was tense due to Killmonger winning and ultimately seemingly killing T,Challa but in this scene they should have highlighted Killmonger fighting prowess to the extreme and that he is a beast of a diffrent kind.

Don’t get me wrong I loved the movie just think they need to step the fight scenes up in the sequel and ensure T,Challa superhuman abilities are displayed in full and less reliance on the suit kinetic energy rubbish.

I liked Chadwick's voice as T'Challa in Civil War better as well. Just had way more presence and commanding when he had the mask on. Especially when he say's "Captain".

Clearly they were more interested in the narrative and showing black excellence.

They succeeded in this but forgot this was an action movie and I'ma need to see bp doing I'll shyt.

The first captain America wasn't all that on the action tip either and needed winter soldier to really solidify cap.

Dead that bullshyt cgi and get some real action scenes.

Why was Chadwick doing all this martial arts training. Just for the proving match? O no.

Wesley Snipes never woulda let the hand to hand go down like that.

Hopefully the sequel will be action heavy to give us what we need. That drama action epic.

Yeah the graphics in civil war and Winter soldier were amazing. Had never watched any of the marvel movies until I saw winter soldier and FINALLY saw a superhero movie with alot of real superhero fight scenes. Made me go back and binge watch all the marvel movies.

The black panther was definitely a notch down in graphics and it's was done purposely I believe.

I don't think it was done on purpose per say but, before BP Coogler only worked on 2 movies before and those films didn't rely on SFX like BP does. Creed was basically in the ring so to film the fight scenes were alot easier then filming BP if you didn't have prior experience. The Russo Bro's were filming IW and Coogler was directing BP at the same time. Russo's are more experience with action and sfx from the Winter Soldier to Civil War, and now IW. Hopefully Coogler will improve in those areas for the 2nd movie. He already got the story telling down, he only needs to improve with the other things.

PS2 nikka? They weren't very good but stop gassing please lol.

They were on par with the Raimi Spider-Man movies, which are all 10-15 years old now.

Did the special effects take you out of the entire movie or are you referring specially to the last battle?

Both. There was also some shytty green screen during the forest scenes.

Out of all the MCU movies it's amazing to me that Captain America has the best fight choreography...it really shouldn't be lol
How? Caps whole appeal in the comics is hes a top tier hand to hand combatant up there with BP and Batman

Essentially BP and Infinity War were filmed at the same time. So the Russo's got the same crew that did Winter Soldier & Civil War to work on the movie. There's definitely need to be an improvement all around with the action for part 2 though. You would think having a great martial artist like Marrese Crump personally training Chadwick Boseman and the other movie cast members, the fights would of been way better.

I know Coogler likes to work smaller less known people on his films. If so he should definitely look into Jeff Ward. Jeff Ward who has been stunt coordinator and fight coordinator for many years for Snipes in most of his action movies, he's also worked with Spike Lee many times too. He's also an second unit director too. He's a great martial artist as well. I think he would be a good fit for them if they wanted someone with experience on both small and larger scale productions. He even recently worked on Dr. Strange too. Check his IMDB page he's worked on tons of movies.

should've hired wesly snipes to do the fight scenes and design the weapons

I hope they listening out there:wow:

"The “Blade” crew knew that if they got a shot at doing this film, they were going to bring on the components and elements that are so always missing - things they felt they were missing as fans of these kinds of films. They put themselves in the place of the viewers first.
They combined a certain style, fashion and music plus the hybrid nature of all the different genres: comedy, action, and martial arts. And suddenly there was a black guy doing it.
Usually, Wesley and his crew start off with a skeleton idea and say okay, we want this kind of energy. And then they lay out the movements. Then Wesley comes in and says “okay, let's do it this way, and enhance that. And give me two more guys over that way. But wait a minute, Blade wouldn't do that, he's going to do it this way. And bam, bam, bam....”
Then the crew tries to bring the emotional content back to it, not only in terms of energy, but in terms of attitude as well. And once rehearsals start, it's on. By then, they're all ready to go, and sweating. And the ideas just start flowing. Like, “let's do this, and let's do that.” They improvise a lot on the set.
Referring to the omnipresent, Peter Pan-like martial arts of “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” and “Charlie’s Angels”, Snipes says he keeps the action real in “Blade,” even though the super strong vampires have some flying tricks of their own. The film crew didn’t want to do things that suspend reality. They tried to make sure that the second “Blade” was a step above the first film. They enhanced a lot of things. They made some critical assessments of what things worked and what things didn’t, and then came in with guns a-blazin’. Once the movie starts, it won’t let you go. It’s the whole “Blade” experience.

But I think they already admitted they were new to having to film action like this,so it may just be growing pains.
