Heres a couple I think you'd like:

- Strange circus (Watched this years ago so I forgot most of it, but its fcked up, plenty of deep symbolism and sht like that, probably one of the best/most controversial physiological horrors created)

- Noroi the cure (this by far has everything you want, but you have to be patient whilst watching it because the plot takes time to build and is pretty difficult to understand)

If yall want more suggestions or some links, let me know.

:feedme:these are the kinda horror movies I like.

Mama had potential until the end. Last movie I can say that had me shook was The Grudge. That noise that bytch makes still creeps me out

they're s l o w l y relearning the art of scaring the audience.

we had a good 15 year stretch where "scary" was showing the audience a scene of a eyeball being pierced with a needle (aka "gross shyt")

I halfway makes me feel as if studios put a hidden computer controlled camera in theaters, and the camera mistook people's grossed out cringe reaction for fear... so that's what hey did.

But on the same token, Stephen King actually said years and years ago: "When all else fails, go for the gross out."

Sinister had me shook no lie :merchant:. I think movies that are truly scary are the ones where some malignant entity is believed to be present and things happen but you're not shown it. That makes your imagination run wild and you know how people fear the unknown. I was :merchant: watching Sinister especially seeing the the videos the dude recovered. Not being able to see who's recording it and the terrifying music that played alongside it was too damn eerie.

Exactly!.... and this is why The Ring was so scary... I saw that shyt for the first time in London when I was younger.. if u ever been to London u know walking down cobblestone streets in the middle of the night with a thick foggy mist covering the ground is freaky enough... I had to make that walk to my hotel AFTER seeing the Ring.... I was shook for weeks.... Couldn't even have my girls TV facing me when I went to sleep.... :lupe:
