We just learned that the RATE of expansion was INCREASING = Acceleration

Big Difference.

And the laws of physics tell us the expansion should be slowing down.

In the most basic sense, a scientific fact is an objective and verifiable observation, in contrast with a hypothesis or theory, which is intended to explain or interpret facts.

The two words cannot be interchanged in the scientific world.
Evolution is NOT a fact, it's a theory.....same way as big bang because there are so many ways to interpret them.

sorry breh wasn't trying to act like you were the only person who was surprised by the acceleration, but scientists are surprised by A LOT of their findings but the fact that it is occurring means something else is "at work", but the mystery of why it's accelerating has nothing to do with the big bang theory or its credibility. But there is no way The Big Bang theory is going to be turned on it's head. The accelerated expansion is happening, so hit rewind on that tape and everything is at one single point of matter/energy as shown in the big bang theory. Those facts aren't going to change.

2, I have a problem with evidence being used when talking about absolute truth and reality. Short of omniscience, it is impossible. As for humanity, evidence is surely the way to go.

3. I don't see anything opposing. One is just more clearly defined while one is incredibly ambiguous. Short of omniscience, it cannot be confirmed, and no science does not come close to knowing the ultimate answer.

How does science "not come close" if you claim you don't truly know what omniscience is? How do you know how "close' you can be?

All I said was that things like what they are saying in the op are being researched due to the holes in the Big Bang theory. Do you disagree with that statement?

Saying the existing model was INACCURATE might be a better use of our efforts.
