Dead End
Rican B*stard
Not really diggin the remastering. It was fine before. Louder does not equal a better mix.

When the Weeknd sings ‘life’, he emphasizes the first part of the word to imply that the girl’s life is a lie and all the drugs and the one night stands are just trying to cover up the emptiness of her life

Side note: This song is the conclusion to the “Balloons” mix tape trilogy. Abel is subliminally asking the listeners to not leave him after listening to this. Don’t leave his little life…

When The Weeknd sings ‘Don’t you leave me all behind’, it really sounds like: ‘Don’t you leave me I’ll be high’ (just like when he sing ‘don’t you leave my little life’, it sounds like ‘my little lie’ — thanks for rorotheking for this one)
When he sings don’t you leave me all behind (and don’t you leave me I’ll be high) is also what the Weeknd demands to his fans. Without us and his career, theres nothing more than drugs

The lyrics are wrong it actually says “dont you leave me ill be high” again talking about rolling on excstacy. this is the last song of his 3 mixtapes “the trilogy”. This is where the girl overdoses and dies. Abel makes it seem like its about one stand in which he is leaving but really all three mixtapes lead to this tragic ending. its all a story and this is the end
No Aaliyah's vocals on What You Need.
