The way she’s on the road you would think that Sarah Bond is next up when Phil moves on?
She smart as hell she is the one behind the gamepass initiative

It's something I would use but nobody NEEDS it (unless you a series s owner)Yeah I had to jump on this
Thats a damn good price. Very tempting
Yeah I had to jump on this
That's cool, but not too much space. They need to work with Seagate and get the costs down. PS' solution is way more cost effective. The cost per GB is approaching or past half and expanding. It's something I would use but nobody NEEDS it (unless you a series s owner)
Yeah my storage filled up... with games!!!
I have about 60 games on my console but I only play 6 regularly and none of those six games are big storage users but yet here I am juggling games every few days. System telling me I got to erase something for a download to start. You can also cloud stream so I try everything that way first then download the ones I'm definitely going to play a lot
Forza 5 and flight simulator are like 120gb each just hogging up space.
The Xbox solution is to stream and not use any physical storage period which will be the norm. And while you're happy to pay a little less for this you gotta pay more for an inferior system, $70 remakes, more expensive games service with less content, paying full price for games included in games pass like MLB the show deathloop tomorrow, psychonaunts 2, No No Kuni, Yakuza 7, every call of duty moving forward, I could go on (retro arch) and on but the point is if you talking about saving money on games/etc?That's cool, but not too much space. As true as all that other shyt is, this proprietary storage is a failure. Some people have shyt internet, data caps, or (like me), don't want to wait and juggle games on drives, and won't tolerate latency or other streaming downsides. It's not even close to being close. Xbox provides the best deal in gaming EVER
The PS solution is cost effective due to them essentially outsourcing the issue to the consumer and storage manufacturers. I understand why Microsoft took the proprietary route - end users will find any way they can to fukk up a simple task like installing an M.2 drive. Sony smartly made it out issue to solve while also making it cheaper for us to do. I know all of this. I would prefer the PS way, I just don't want a PS. It would help a lot if they at least automated some of the management. Like moving anything not Series S/X to a certain backup drive. Or not automatically installing when you get a free game, and a convenient, elegant way to see what you own so you can reinstall. I need to delete some stuff I downloaded and didn't play, but I don't like burning time rummaging through all of it, but then I'm forced to when my Internal Storage runs out, which is at least once or twice a month. The PS solution is cost effective due to them essentially outsourcing the issue to the consumer and storage manufacturers. Here in Baltimore City, Comcast has a monopoly on high speed internet. We raised hell to stop them from initiating a data cap (during a pandemic that forced people to stay home FFS), but if they did, it would be an issue. It's not about poverty, it's about circumstance. Yes, the absurd price on those storage cards is now a failure, since the price per GB isn't dropping ANYWHERE near the rest of the market.A failure or par for the course?
And lets keep it one hundo, it's basically a flat out internet lie to cry about data caps. Gtfoh, there are no data caps unless you on boost mobile n shyt. If you have shyt internet then you don't care to do internet intensive things. This is a luxury, it's not a public requirement that has to meet the standards of the most poverty stricken so these trillion dollar companies don't give A fukk ABOUT WHAT YOU SAYING ABOUT THAT. Sony didn't give two shyts when they priced the ps3 at $600 nor do they care now post pandemic raising the prices of the ps5.
Show me the post where you're going "Sony can't do that, what about the people in poverty "
When they raise the price $10 for the last of us pt1 3rd release edition, y'all was like "what's $10 "
It's reality breh. Anyone with Comcast knows. I was at a 1TB monthly cap (they raised it to 1.2 when the pandemic hit). It wasn't until another provider serviced the area that I was able to move to fiber and no caps. When I was on Comcast there were months that I just didn't download games since I was close to the cap. It became an issue with Flight Sim doing its notorious infinite download loop (turn off your anti virus if this happens). And lets keep it one hundo, it's basically a flat out internet lie to cry about data caps. I used to work for Comcast installing cable and internet, know all about how cable companies overcharge if they the only ones. This happens mostly in rural areas tho as most cities have options....Here in Baltimore City, Comcast has a monopoly on high speed internet. So from 2016-2019 I had Comcast with the same data limits. But I didn't know I had a limit, and we are a cut the cord household. I've never not been able to stream whatever. Like, I grew up broke and remember what it was like having the cable cut off for a period here and there. I've never been disconnected due to caps. What happens exactly when you reach your limit, throttle your speeds right? To what? How much speed do you truly need? Unless you're up to no good, you're likely good more times than not. I understand there's exceptions but generally speaking data caps isn't something you see ppl complaining about. There's no threads on it and you won't find one because it isn't an issue (imo)It's reality breh. Anyone with Comcast knows. I was at a 1TB monthly cap (they raised it to 1.2 when the pandemic hit). They don't cut you off for exceeding the cap, they charge you more. Comcast already charges a high amount for subpar service, so having to pay more furthers frustration. Asking how much speed a person needs isn't far of people thinking 20MB hard drives were excessive. You don't have to be "up to no good" to rack up data.I used to work for Comcast installing cable and internet, know all about how cable companies overcharge if they the only ones. I have Comcast and I agree what you and @TripleAgent are saying about them and their services because when it come to data usage they be on some bullshyt with it. While y'all mention about trying not to download too many games because you can easily hit the data cap limit, it's even worse if you watching anything from Netflix cause I went over my cap limit from just streaming Netflix, but they'll get rid of the cap limit if you pay extra. With AT&T putting fiber in my area, suddenly Comcast is playing nice and giving out better deals to prevent people from switching over, but still won't get rid of the data cap unless you get fiber from them. They don't cut you off for exceeding the cap, they charge you more.
