I wouldn't believe it as true, but if we're going to speculate and see it as an all digital Series X, then they'd be just about meeting PlayStation at every step. Series S to grab the casual market or young gamer, Series V to counter the PS5 DE, Series X to counter the PS5 with disc drive. So if you exclude the S, then it's like for like. It doesn't make a ton of sense to me because then you'll probably have 3 products, each $100 apart. Seems like too much to me. Since the rumor is they're taking a bigger loss on the S vs the X, it would have made more sense to have the V and X only, and just price the V somewhere between 299 and 399.
Personally don't care if the Series V exists, it doesn't change the landscape on a hardware internals level.
