It’strue England didn’t have a play maker midfielder in that squad so Kane dropped back the entire WC it was their down fall. Plenty of attack but no one to create chances and runs. Against Croatia’s ridiculous midfield it was glaring

He would have. Alli and Lingard have no idea how to play as central midfielders and Henderson is square balls only. At least Jack would have looked to play the ball forward. Some on here believe this England squad is better than Scholes generation
I don't think this Croatia team is better than the 2002 Brazil, 2006 Portugal or 2010 Germany squads.
So I still believe the 2002 - 2010 English teams were better than the current one.

Better players doesn't matter at all. All the talent in the world doesn't mean anything if you don't have sound tactics. This squad is better coached and better disciplined!
