Defensively, we are rock solid. That will always keep the U.S. in the game. They just have to figure out a more fluid offensive strategy and have better flank discipline when approaching the box.

This. We are just used to that creative style. But point blank I'd rather us win these games ugly and wake up in the later rounds. Japan showed everyone that if your D is sound and you can solidify your middle you will win by attrition. But Julie Johnston is the future. After that first match I haven't seen her make a bad pass, she isn't getting beaten with runs and she's getting quality headers. :win: she's playing exactly how you teach some one to defend its a joy to watch.

What a good game by Colombia. They definitely took it to this U.S. team as they attacked hard and defended pretty well for the most part. The U.S. wasn't able to establish a good offensive game plan against this team. Colombia could become a powerful team in the future. Very impressed by the showing they had in this World Cup.
