could just be anecdotal and/or an issue with their testing methodologies. we'll have to wait for more benchmarks I guess (don't you do meta-analysis?)

Yeah I do. It's way to early for witcher benchmarks. We'll see later today. Plus you can't trust those nvidia benchmarks either. They just test one thing at a time and it's not realistic testing. Only trend I'm seeing with witcher 3 right now is that it is VERY demanding at ultra. Nvidia gameworks is probably not an option for anybody if they want 60fps at high resolutions. I just wanna try it out for myself. I don't really care about hairworks, but it does look nice (Far Cry 4 is a good example). It kills performance though. Tressfx is a lot more efficient. I'm just glad I don't have an amd card, given that this is an nvidia game. Nvidia has been accused of crippling amd shyt, as you well know.

Whatever a GTX 780 runs this at will be better than console performance.

I think the consoles are at medium/high, so this is probably true. And of course there's no nvidia gameworks on the consoles. Plus, there's the 30fps problem.

Ultra is were the problems are with this game, it appears.

People on steam are calling conspiracy....lol. I don't think that's the case, but it's sad to see them only optimizing maxwell and not the older cards

960 should NOT be running better than 780 in any capacity..no matter the game...but..what I will say is maybe u can run it at 4k with Titan SLI if u turned off the anti-aliasing completely..u shouldnt need it anyway at 4K to be honest..

yet that's what we see. Even a titan x sli isn't running this at 4k on ultra anywhere near 60fps. This appears to be the most demanding game to date. I'm just hoping for 60fps at 1440p ultra.

Yea..If im getting 40-50 fps on Ultra with my 970 im not too mad..imma just turn my frame counter off so I dont have to see it..lol
